Abortion laws
I will go along with the ending of abortion if, and this is a big if, the government will pass laws to make congress responsible for the un-aborted baby including pre-natal care, delivery, post-natal care of mother, support in all aspects of this child's life through college and pay the mother a living wage to stay home and raise the child. And if this child happens to be the result of rape or incest, that said congressmen be required to draw straws to see who physically raises this child. Yep. Seems fair to me.
More stupid politicians
If I were one of those troops deployed and fighting for my country and my country would not pay me, I would change sides. Sorry, no money, no service.
Stupid politicians
Anyone besides me find this budget mess frustrating? We have troops deployed on 2 fronts. We have troops dying every day. Now those same troops will have the added worry of how their families will pay the bills while they are away. It is beyond my comprehension how congressmen can hold the budget hostage because they want to control women's health. Yeah, they want to tell women they can't get an abortion. They are also telling us that we will be on our own if we have an unwanted pregnancy. There will be no help for the poor women of this country. Sounds like they are putting us in third-world status. Those that have money will have no problem if they want to end a pregnancy. Those at the bottom however are going to be treated like slaves. You will have that baby. You will feed, clothe, and care for it. Well if it is your rapist's baby, too bad. If it is the result of incest, too bad. If men could have babies, abortion would not only be a right, it would be drive by. I am so angry.

stupid politicians
The only time those same politicians even acknowledge the voter is when they are up for re-election. I also e-mailed my new congressman, Bill Flores. I have yet to hear from him. He replaced Chet Edwards. Edwards was working hard for the vets. Flores is working hard for his moneyed friends.
Stupid politicians
I now have proof that the politicians do not read mail or e-mail from their constituents. I e-mailed my senator, John Cronyn. I had e-mailed him to demand that he support Planned Parenthood. I did this because Planned Parenthood is the only place poor women can get medical care for themselves and quite often for their children. I did not mention abortion except to point out that Planned Parenthood was so much more than abortion providers. I got this back.
As you may know, the House of Representatives recently passed the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011 (H.R. 1), which included an amendment to restrict federal funding for Planned Parenthood. I support this provision, and you may be certain that I will continue to support initiatives to prevent federal taxpayer dollars from funding Planned Parenthood during the 112th Congress.
Additionally, it may interest you to learn that I, along with 31 other Members of Congress, sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) requesting the amount of Title X federal funding given to Planned Parenthood and other specific organizations from Fiscal Year 2002—2009. In response to my oversight request, the GAO found and outlined almost $1 billion in taxpayer dollars directed to these organizations. Specifically, the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, reportedly received over $650 million in federal funds over a seven year period. I believe that taxpayer funding of abortion is unacceptable, and I will continue to exercise aggressive oversight on this issue.
I am committed to building a culture of life in America. Every life is a precious gift from God, and we must protect those who cannot protect themselves, ensuring—from conception to natural death—that every human being is treated with the dignity and respect he or she deserves. I appreciate having the opportunity to represent the interests of Texans in the United States Senate. Thank you for taking the time to contact me.
