War on the Police

Apparently war has been declared on our police.  Certain factions seem to think lit is ok to murder them.  And as much as I hate to say this, our president, attorney general and the mayor of New York have blood on their hands because they, in their support of the Ferguson protestors, nodded their acceptance of this.  We see no reports of any killings by the police if it is white on white or if it is a black police officer doing the killing.  Our President and Attorney General have widened that race schism in this country and it will take years to fix it if it is even fixable. 

Those that were killed by the police were criminals resisting arrest.  In Ferguson, the thug was trying to take the cops gun.  He had just robbed a store.  And his mother and step-father helped incite those riots. 

The killing in New York was again of a felon.  This one was 34 and had 30 convictions on his record.  Granted it would have been much better if they had not died, but they have to accept responsibility for resisting arrest.  You never resist arrest.  If the cops are in the wrong, handle it in court.  You don't sort anything out on the street.  You will lose.  Do we have bad cops?  Oh hell yes.  But the good ones outweigh the bad ones.  Those two in New York did nothing at all to lose their lives except wearing their uniform and the slime that killed them was even too cowardly to stick around and take his medicine.  He killed himself.  My question still stands.  What will these neighborhoods do when no cops will work them?  Who will they call then?  Will they call on the criminals that they are defending now?  Don't think so.  I sincerely hope those politicians are happy with what they have caused.  I'm not.

Not happy

I keep watching the news and just when I think things can't get any worse, the damn fools surprise me.  The ongoing protests the killing by the police of a 300 pound thug that was trying to kill the cop.  A grad jury was convened and heard all the evidence and acquitted the policeman.  Not good enough for the thugs people.  They want that policeman's blood regardless if he is guilty or not.  Then we have another 300 pound thug killed by the police in New York.  In 34 years he had 30 arrest and was resisting arrest at the time.  But it was the cops fault.  So off we go on more protests led by non other than Al Sharpton.  Sharpton would kill his mother if the thought it would get him money and publicity.  So we have these protest, not nice peaceful ones either.  "What do we want?  Dead Cops.  When do we want them? Now."  And they got them.  A piece of crap criminal with a long rap sheet killed two cops in cold blood.  Then was too much of a coward to face the music and committed suicide. The professional rabble rousers got their wish. 

To cap this all off, we have the mayor of New York, patting Sharpton on the ass.  We have the United States Attorney General giving his blessing to these violent protests and we have our elected president also giving his seal of approval.  Of course, there are going to be dead cops.  This is just the tip of the iceburg.  Ever wonder why, during WW11, some of the villages the Nazi occupied areas would just hand over their Jewish population or in some instances, just kill them.  This while other villages fought to protect their Jewish neighbors.  They hid them.  They smuggled them out of the area.  One village chose decency over lawless abandon.  And why did those choosing lawless abandon over decency?  Because they could.  They had been given permission by their occupiers.  Same concept here.  Why will the thugs kill cops?  Because they can and have been given tacit approval by the highest elected officials in the land.  Mankind sports a very thin veneer of civilization and given the opportunity to discard it and act with lawless abandon, a good majority will do just that.  Scary isn't it?

My beef with Obama

I have defended Obama through thick and thin, but I cannot defend him over the military and his handling of military matters.  He fired Robert Gates.  He fired Chuck Hagel.  Those are two of the most competent men to head the defense department in politics today.  Hagel sure knows what the soldiers face.  I was overjoyed when he was named as Defense Secretary.  Apparently Obama fired both men because he could not micromanage them.  Micromanaging has never worked and it never will.  And it is doubtful he will find anyone competent to do that job because no one with any integrity and grit will take it.  I wouldn't.  You pick the best people for the job and allow them to do that job.  You are only as good as your people let you be.  He has destroyed his credibility with the military and I offer no more defense.  I had high hopes, but they are waning. 

On an up note, I hope Hagel runs for president.  I will vote for him.

State of the country

Well, the Republicans are in full control of our country.  They are giddy with power.  What they are not getting is that people were not voting for Republicans.  They were voting against Democrats.  And not a one of them gets why.  Illegal immigration lost it for the Democrats.  Pure and simple.  Democrats plans were to grant permanent status to those criminals that have been stealing from the taxpayer for years.  That is not acceptable.  We the people have been screaming that we want them deported.  We want the border closed.  We want businesses that hire them fined and prosecuted.  We want to stop providing medical and schooling for them.  They get better medical care than do our own children.  Our own children are pushed aside in order to educate them in their own language no less.  My own grandson is in a Spanish speaking class.  The theory is that the Spanish speaking will pick up English from the English speaking and vise versa.  It is not happening.  My grandson is in third grade and has been in these classes since kindergarten and he speaks no Spanish and he is bored out of his head.  He has to sit in class and wait while the teacher spends the day catering to those kids who are here illegally.  He is being pushed aside for them.  It is damn time that we cleaned house.  It is time that we the people took back our country.  The Republicans are in charge now and there is no reason they cannot fix this mess.  We are watching them.  If they don't measure up, in two years they are out.  We the people have spoken. 

Another thing that has people up in arms is the ACA.  According to the Republicans, Americans want it repealed.  Not so.  What most of those who are dissatisfied with it are angry about is that it does not go far enough.  Medical insurance is still not affordable for most.  The costs are still just too high.  And we have the cost of medical care skyrocketing every day.  The cost of drugs is out of control.  And there is not one damn reason for any doctor to make a 6 figure income.  There is not one damn doctor out there that is worth it.  They don't have a clue what they are doing and probably kill more people than they help.  I know in my own family, we have lost a loved one due to doctor stupidity.  My son almost lost a finger because of doctor stupidity.  And my step-daughter was sent home with a life threatening bacterial infection because "there was nothing wrong with her."  Because of my bitching loudly at her doctor, she is alive today.  When you go to a doctor, watch your back.  All you are to them is a dollar.  They don't give a tinkers damn about you.

Racism in Country Music

Ok, I have all my life been a fan of country music.  I was raised on it.  The country music of today is not country music, but it is very racist.  One of the newer singer I had kinda enjoyed was Brad Paisley.  And I was really glad when Darius Rucker broke into country.  He has a beautiful, smooth voice.  And I just read the racist remarks made by Paisley at the CMA awards.  And he made them just before Rucker was to follow him onstage.  I will be divorcing country music.  I cannot support a venue that supports racism.  I would remind those in country music that many of the old timers that gave them this foundation were Native Americans.  Loretta Lynn, her grandfather was Cherokee.  Many from the old South were at least part Native American and this racism is a slap in the fact to them as well.  Their ancestors suffered genocide at the hands of the whites in this country.  The biggest black eye on this country is what the whites did to the Native Americans.  They were murdered, starved, had their lands stolen.  And this fool stands up on that stage and spouts racism.  Yep. Done.

Elections

I was still too angry after the elections to post anything.  I still cannot believe that Texans voted in Dan Patrick as Lt. governor.  Abbot can have governorship.  Texas governor really does not do anything and he only has the power of appointments.  Perry has taken care of that chore for many years to come, so there is not much Abbott can do.  Patrick, however, can really hurt the state and I am afraid he will.  In Texas the Lt. governor basically runs the state.  The reason we have been in decent shape has nothing to do with Perry.  Bill Hobby was lt. governor for many years and he ran a tight, responsible ship.  His influence is still felt.  However, Partrick is one of those know-it-all born again christians who is a bully and has a really high opinion of himself.  He is from Maryland, not Texas, has no history with the state.  Yep.  Bad news.  We need a few Ben Barnes and Bill Hobbys around.  This fool would not have lasted long with them nor with Ken Benson.  And we can kiss what school system we have goodby.  Texas is in sad shape. 

Done

I really am done with politics.  It is disgusting what the extremists have done to Texas.  We used to be a state full of common sense.  Now we are a state full of hatred.  If you do not believe as the fundies believe, then you are ridiculed.  There is a spirit of meanness in Texas now that I have never witnessed before.  It makes you not to even want to be around anyone.  Not a good feeling. 

Arrogant doctors

We have another doctor down with Ebola.  He is returning from one of those countries with the outbreak.  So he comes back to New York and just goes about his business.  He goes to a bowling alley.  He rides the subway.  There is no way of knowing how many people he has exposed.  That is arrogance.  Had he been a responsible doctor, he would have self quarentened for 21 days.  Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have.  Well, he was really lacking in the common sense department.  And there is no telling how many are going to pay the price for this lack of common sense.  Oh, we will have and outbreak here and it will be brought to you by your friendly, arrogant doctor. 

More politics

I keep trying to stay out of politics and ignore them, but I just can't.  I  live in Texas and we have the best entertainment from our politicians.  After all, we are the ones who had the Democrats skip the state to avoid passage of a law that was bad for Texans. 

So we have Wendy Davis, a democrat.  Then we have Greg Abbott, a republican.  From everything I can dig up about Wendy Davis, she is truly in it to help the average Texan.  That alone will cost her the election.  The average Texan would rather be screwed by the Repugs than have a democrat help them. 

Greg Abbott, well he is a real sob.  Greg Abbot doesn't give a tinkers damn about any Texan that does not have money.  He made the statement that driving 150 miles to a clinic for medical care is not a hardship on poor women.  Poor women who have no money and quite often no car.  Greg Abbott will not do anything to oust the illegals in this state because he is married to the granddaughter of illegals.  He is a real jewel and if you are not one of the Texas rich, you are screwed.  So what else is new?

Politics

I would love to see a statesman or woman run for congress.  I don't think we have any of those left and I for sure know we don't have anyone in congress or running for congress that has the interest of the country at heart.  The middle class just keeps shrinking and those in congress don't have a clue.  Remember the statement that Obama was caught on an open mic  about "a lot of folks cling to their Bible and their guns."  Well, those clinging to their Bibles are hoping for better days and for a better place.  They are also the ones clinging to their guns.  These are not the nutcases like the bunch that showed up to fight the fed for the idiot Bundy.  These are good ole boys and girls.  These are the people that make the country work.  They are the ones who fix your electricity after a bad storm or a hurricane.  They are the ones that keep your roads and streets in repair.  And they are the ones being hurt by the inflation at the grocery store, never mind the increase in rents.  These people use those guns to hunt deer, elk, turkeys and wild hogs to supplement their groceries.  They also grow gardens out of necessity.  And they are the ones that head for the recrutment office when there is a war.  They were the ones that died in Vietnam.  They were the ones that fought Gulf War 1, and many of them were the ones in Iraq and Afghanistan.  And they are the ones being sold down the river by our government.  They are the ones that cannot afford to send their kids to private school.  So those kids get shoved aside so that we can educate the rest of the world, mostly Mexico and Central America.  But the politicians don't see this nor do they care.  They are also the ones who still do not have medical insurance because the cost even under the ACA is still too high for them to afford, especially in Texas.  They are the ones that get screwed in any action taken by the government.  Who benefits?  Mostly the rich and the illegals.  No, it is all the rich and the illegals.  The wages are low because of the illegals.  Our medical system is in a mess because of the illegals and yet we have politicians that do not have the guts to deport them and clean up our country.  These politicians are catering to businesses who want the cheap labor.  How do I know this?  I come from these people.  And I live in Texas where we have had an illegal problem for 50 years.  And the politicians in Texas have repeatedly chosen illegals over citizens.  From allowing them to use taxpayer money to attend college after the taxpayer has had to educate them through elementary to high school.  Their parents show no income so they can get more than the Texan because that Texan's parents do not work off the books and do show income.  Our ER's and hospitals are overrun with illegals who do not pay their bills.  So we get stuck with not only higher bills but can't get into and ER when needed.  But you know what?  Things will rock along as they are until those illegals start moving into the upscale neighborhoods and they will and until they start taking jobs from the well-to-do and they will.  Then we will ;hear some loud screams.  Can't wait.  The rest of us will muddle by because we always have.  We will always find a way and we help each other out.  Those of you who have had it easy all your lives will be in a world of hurt if the economy crashes.  We will survive, but not y'all. And who knows, maybe I will yet get to see the politicians begging on the streets. 

Coming home to roost

I just read an article that many of the illegal minors that poured into the country this summer were settled in the upscale suburbs.  This particular suburb was in Virginia and the people were very upset.  They were upset that their tax money would have to spring for bi-lingual classes, that their tax money would have to spring for medicaid and food stamps and WIC for them.  Well, welcome to Texas.  Texas has been beaten over the head with this for 50 years.  We were told how cruel we were.  All they wanted was a better life and how could we be so mean as to want to deny them a better life.  They only take the jobs citizens won't do.  Right.  And I have ocean front property in Arizona for sale. 

Texas tried to put a stop to the money wasted on education.  We passed a law to the effect that if they wanted to put their kids in our schools, they would have to pay tuition.  Well, the Supreme Court stuck it down.  So now most of our school taxes goes to educate Mexico and Central America, not our own kids.  Our kids are shoved aside.  My property taxes just went up $265 because we have to build new schools.  Those schools will be majority illegals.  Doesn't sound like much, does it?  Well, consider that my property taxes were already $4200 and I am on a fixed income.  Now does it sound like much?  And this will play out all over the country and we can thank our congress for this mess we have.  I am not pointing the finger to just one party either.  Both parties are to blame for this mess.  And not one member of either party has a clue what they have done to our country.  They are up there with the rest of the rich and don't or won't see that their cheap labor has dummed down our wages.  I never thought I would live to see my country in this mess.  Well, I have.  There is not a politician in Washington nor in my legislature in Texas that I trust.  They are all in it for themselves and what they can steal from the taxpayer and cater to the likes of the Koch brothers.  Disgusting.

Ebola scare

Seems like our medical world was not in any way prepared for an outbreak of a disease of this type.  Guess we have gotten complacent since the defeat of Polio.  In my humble opinion, we should never let our guard down.  We now have the Entrovirus D68 and my bet is that it came in with the influx of illegals from Central America.  Why?  Well, I have lived in Texas since 1970.  There is a small town in South Texas that has from at least the 1970's had to have their teachers tested for TB twice a year and quite often a teacher would catch TB.  Why?  Because it was a big farming  area and this is where the migrants put their kids in school.  We also delt with head lice, scabies and other outbreaks due to those from across the border.  We don't even really know who is in our country illegally.  We don't know where they came from.  We don't know the diseases they carry. 

Several years ago, Texas was under a rabies quarantine because of the coyotes coming up from Mexico and bringing it to our wildlife.  We could not travel outside Texas with our animals without papers showing they were immunized.  That was somewhat controlled by the Texas Parks and Wildlife lacing food pellets with the rabies medication and dropping it from airplanes.   So, yeah, I do think that a lot of our medical problems sneak across the border.  And once here, of course they get free medical care and free schooling and free food.  Am I bitter?  Yes.  At no point was I given a say in whether my tax dollars would be used for the care and schooling of those not citizens.  At no time was I asked if I want to do this.  No.  I do not.  Our tax dollars should be to benefit our own citizens.  Our own students are being shoved aside so we can educate all these illegals. 

Ok, I got off track.  Of course Ebola was going to make it to our shores.  And there will be more.  The will come here for the free medical and because they think they will get better care here.  And we, the taxpayer, will be saddled with the bill.  Of our own citizens who contract this disease, they will be financially destroyed.  Those nurses have lost everything.  All papers, personal effects, everything is gone.  And no income while they are ill.  At least the hospital is taking care of their treatment free of charge, or so they say.  And we are supposed to feel sorry for the rest of the world.  Has it ever crossed anyone's mind that maybe, just maybe, it is time we practiced population control?  This planet is finite in what it can handle.  Unless we start practicing population control, we will continue to have these outbreaks and each one will be worse than the  one before.  Eventually, we will have one that will wipe out a large chunk of the world population.  Smallpox and the black plague did a damn good job.  It will happen. 

The Ebola patient in Dallas

I am sorry that Mr. Duncan died, but he did bring Ebola into this country.  He did lie to the authorities in his home country in order to board that plane.  And he did show up at our ER for us to take care of him.  Texas taxpayers will have to foot the bill for his care, his death and cremation, fumigating the apartment they lived in, and disposing of his clothing and whatever else he may have left virus on.  And now the family is pissed because he did not get "the proper care."  They are pissed that the patient in Nebraska lived and Mr. Duncan did not.  Well, I can't muster a good give-a-damn over this.  Mr. Duncan had the best care the Texas taxpayer could provide and there is no thank you for ponying up the money unasked for a foreigners medical treatment.  There is not one "I'm sorry our family brought this to you."  Not on damn word of gratitude that he was even treated and not stuck on a plane back to Nigeria.  No, instead they want to sue.  For what?  What more could we have done?  We have no dealings with this disease.  The only treatment that is for it is not even produced in this country.  Why are they not pissed at Canada for not getting this to Mr. Duncan?  I can tell you why.  Because jessie jackson is not telling them to bitch at Canada.  This Texas taxpayer wants this whole damn family deported back to Nigeria.  I am tired of being forced to care for the world while our own children go hungry, get beaten up, live homeless.  We could end hunger and homelessness with the money that we waste on foreigners every year.  Do I sound hard and uncaring?  If so, so be it.  Our own should come first. 

Surviving Eboal

Seems the medical community was not as ready for Ebola as they thought they were.  They had not made a plan for disposal of the waste, how to handle the body, how to take care of those they had to quarantine.  But I am more worried about the Entrovirus D38.  It is killing and crippling our kids.  There have been no quarantines.  There has been nothing done to stop the spread.  I know this sounds racist, but it showed up at the same time all those kids were invading our country from Central America.  Whether it came in this way or not, we need quarantine stations on all our borders.  It is just like when the white man came and infected the Indians with measles and smallpox.  They had no resistance to either disease and the measles proved deadly for them.  Same with us.  If we have no resistance to a disease, it will go through the country like wildfire.  Ergo Entrovirus D38.  It is time the politicians put the citizens first.  It is time they stopped this free for all illegal immigration. 

Ebola and the US

I am reading that the hospitals have been confidently stating that we are ready for the Ebola virus.  That we  can handle it.  Then I read that none of the hospitals including the one in Dallas that is treating the Ebola patient had any plans in place to dispose of the waste.  They are doing this on the fly.  WOW! Really?  So we are ready for an epidemic?  Seems to me that lip service is being paid to this scare and that is all.  Seems to me we are treating it just like everything else.  It won't happen here, but if it does, we are all powerful and we will deal with it.  Ok, how about Enterovirus-D68?  Kids are being paralized and are dying from this.  We haven't been told where it came from.  We haven't been told that it can be controlled.  We have been told nothing. 

It started in Denver.  Denver is a sancutary city for illegals.  And we have an outbreak right after 60,000 illegals jumped the border.  Sure seems suspect to me.  Don't know, but if we don't stop the stream of illegals crossing our southern border, we are going to get something in here that we can't control.  They are touting that Smallpox is eradicated.  I am not buying that.  This is really getting scary.  They won't quarentine anyone coming into the country.  We need processing centers like Ellis Island and we need them on all borders as well as on the coasts.  It will be expensive, but if we are to protect our citizenry, we have to do it.  I don't care whose feelings it hurts.  Our own citizens have to come first. 

Politicians again

I keep getting emails from Republicans telling me we have to dismantle the Affordable Health Care law.  At the same time, I am seeing that 60,000 illegals minors have border jumped into this country and they are being given free dental, free medical, free vision.  I can't afford dental care.  I can hardly afford medical and forget vision.  I use reading glasses even though I do really need prescription glasses, but with the exam costing a minimum of $100+ $300-400 for a simple pair of frames and add to that the cost of the lenses.  A pair of glasses will cost around $6-800 dollars.  I don't have that.  And yet I have to pay for non-citizens to get treatment I cannot afford.  This country is in poor shape when the criminals have more rights than the people who pay to run the country.  Oh, and Mexico is "helping" those so-called dreamers with funds to get into the program.  I fail to see why we went half way around the world to invade a country.  Why on earth did we not just invade Mexico?  We have been supporting it for 100 years.  Why not just take it over?  And maybe we could invite Canada in on the invasion.  We could divide it up.  There is no reason we should not do this.  We could also clean out the drug cartels and I would say the crooked politicians, but we haven't even managed to do that here.  We have a Cadillac welfare role of 535 members along with their support staff.  They get a paycheck, free parking, free gym, discount cafeteria, free postage and a ton of other stuff that the taxpayer if forced to pay for.  I think it is time all this was put on the ballot.  Start with immigration.  It should go like this:
Do you favor deportation of all illegals    Yes     No
Do you favor amending the Constitution   Yes     No
Do you favor prosecuting those hiring illegals  Yes   No
Do you favor tying congressional pay to performance    yes   no. 

This would be a real eye-opener  and it might just force congress to do their damn jobs.  They asked for the job and them will not do it and the country will not hold them accountable.  I want my country back.  I want citizenship in this country to be a point of pride, which it is not now.  And I want all the illegals to stop sucking us dry.  They have more benefits and freedoms than I do and I am a citizen. 

Lack of ethics in the Medical Profession

I knew that doctors were in the back pocket of the drug companies.  I knew that because my doctor is always trying to shove meds on me.  But today, while looking for a job, I was on one of the job boars.  There was two ads soliciting doctors to furnish patient information to this drug company.  One ad was requesting that doctors have their patients fill out surveys and they would pay doctors $150 each for these surveys.  This is not ethical.  This is disgusting.  And a dermatologist I saw when I was having a severe reaction to blood pressure meds has raided his patient files to try and solicit participants to his research labs.  There is no other place he could have gotten my name and address.  And I can't stop him.  That is what is so infuriating.  Patients have no rights.  We are at the mercy of these doctors and these doctors are only out to make money.  I want socialized medicine and I want doctors paid a set amount of money and to be held accountable for patient information.  By selling your patient's personal information, these doctors are violating the right to privacy laws.  But they are unstoppable because we have a congress that is in the same boat.  If a business or and individual gives them enough money, then that business or individual gets whatever they want no matter if it is against the law.  Our country is in pathetic shape and the populace is like sheep.  They will do whatever a politician tells them to do.  We are on the verge of seeing religion take over our government in spite of the Constitution expressly forbidding it.  We will be no better than the Middle East.

Tired of politics

I am really tired of the politics of this country.  I am tired of seeing people defend the illegals.  They are criminals coming here to steal and how anyone can defend that I just do not understand.  My guess is that their way of life has not been corroded by them yet.  However, it will happen. 

I am tired of the politicians espousing religion.  Religion does not belong in government.  Nor does it belong in schools.  One of the reasons we work is because we have kept religion out of our government.  And our Constitution forbids it.  I also feel that any church that meddles in politics should lose their non-profit status and be forced to pay taxes retroactively.  The taxpayer supports the churches of this country.  We have to take up the slack for the taxes they don't pay.  I am tired of that too.  Nowhere in the Constitution does it state that churches do not have to pay taxes.  There is no reason for them to be exempt.  And those offering sanctuary to the illegals, close them down, sell off their assests.  This is a violation of our laws and no church is above our laws.  It is time we took back our country.  The crazy has overrun common sense. 

Second round with blood pressure meds

So I got off Ziac in 20009.  Within 1 month of getting off it, I was losing weight, the swelling in my feet and legs was gone.  I felt great for the first time in years.  Fast forward to 2013.  I went in for a physical.  The doctor told me that my blood pressure was a little high and needed controlling. Nope, been there, done that.  Well, we have one that is simply a diuretic.  It is nothing like what you took before and has none of the same chemicals in it.  Really, you need just a simple diuretic.  I had no swelling, no shortness of breath, and was losing weight.  So like an idiot, I agreed.  This time I was put on Triamterene and Hydrochlorothiazide.  I started this in December, 2013.  By January, 2014, my arms were a mess of oozing and bleeding rash, I was having trouble with irregular heart beat, and tightness in my chest.  I delt with this for 4 months.  I told myself that it was being in the cold weather.  No.  It was a more severe reaction the damn meds.  So in April I called the doctor.  I went in and when he walked into the room, first words out of his mouth were "Oh, you really can't take these meds."  So I got off them.  The oozing rash did not clear up.  I then went to a dermatologist.  He gave me a steroid sprat, Topicort, I think.  He gave me a sample so I could get started and gave me a prescription to fill.  This was on a Monday.  I used the spray once.  I started having trouble breathing,  I started retaining fluid.  I called the doctor on Tuesday morning.  I told the nurse that this was not working, it was making it worse.  She called me back that afternoon after I had picked up the prescription.  I had read the literature and it specifically stated not to use it on open wounds.  My arms were nothing but open wounds.  The nurse told me that he said to double up on the usage.  I tried to tell that no that was not the problem.  That I was having trouble breathing and packing on fluid.  She repeated that the doctor wanted me to use it 4 times a day instead of 2.  I quit.  This is Tuesday.  On Wednesday, I was in real trouble.  I called the doctor again.  She would get back with me.  As Wednesday rocked along, my breathing got worse, my arms kept bleeding and oozing, and the fluid retention was gradually getting worse.  By Thursday morning, I was in real trouble.  I again called the doctor.  She would get back with me.  I called my GP.  He could see me on Friday at 4pm.  So Thursday night I had popped on 25 pounds of fluid, I could hardly breathe.  I spent the night sitting up and wrote my son a letter telling him what to do in the event I did not survive.  I was afraid to go to the hospital.  I was afraid of them killing me.  By Friday morning, I was a little better.  I could breathe at least.  My GP's office called me and told me not to come in, that there was nothing else he could do for me.  Talk about a slap in the face.  Then on Friday afternoon, the dermatologist's office called.  He wanted me to come in on Monday.  I have just spent the week from hell and could not get to see a doctor.  I went in on Monday, got a statement to return to work, tried to tell the PA about the problems.  His answer," Well you should have called us if you were having trouble with the meds."  I didn't even bother to answer. 

I finally found a dermatologist that treated me as a burn patient and cleared up the mess.  I have no faith in the medical profession.  I think the majority of the doctors are stupid and practicing medicine dictated by the pharmacy companies.  And I think the majority of them should be disbarred.  Medicine is not medicine anymore.  It is a racket and we are the losers. 

Doctors

Having been on the receiving end of lousy medicine over the last 15 years, I have no respect for doctors.  As far as I am concerned, they are the new Mob.  They take millions from the drug companies to hand out the drugs like candy.  They do this without any idea what these drugs are capable of doing to their patients.  My story:  After my husband died in 1997, one week after, my doctor decided I needed medicine for high blood pressure.  I had not even had time to process the changes in my life.  So he convinced me to take something called Ziac, a combination of a beta blocker and hydrochlorothiazide.  So I took that for 11 years.  No blood work was ever done.  I kept asking "do I really need this?"  The pat answer was "Oh, it's low dose.  It won't hurt you."  In March 2003, after 6 years of being on Ziac, I developed huge pustules on my hands.  They would break open and bleed and hurt so bad.  Then I developed dying fingrernails, swollen and itching hands with them just cracking open and bleeding.  I went to 5 doctors, 3 Gp's, 1 dermatologist, and one allergist.  The first GP sent me to what I was told was a dermatologist.  He did some testing and told me I was allergic to industrial chemicals and I would have to quit my job.  From there two more GP's who didn't have a clue.  All this time, I am asking could it be the blood pressure meds. Oh, no they won't hurt you.  Finally, when my arms and legs erupted in a really nasty, itchy rash, I was sent to an allergist.  I had to demand that he do a biopsy to rule out fungal, bacterial, or cancerous problems.  When I showed no allergies even to the industrial chemicals, he was done with me.  And the so-called dermatologist kept harping on I needed to get away from my job.  I hung on for 4 years with no improvement.  At the end of that 6 years, I took early retirement, giving up a lot of money in the process.  My hands did not improve.  So them I was told that my immune system had become sensitized to any chemicals. This was in 2007 and they kept me on the Ziac.  I kept gaining weight, had trouble breathing.  I was told that I needed to just get on a diet and lose the weight and the trouble breathing was because I was overweight.  I couldn't lose the weight.  In 2009, I made a trip to my son's home.  He was going TDY for the military and I was house sitting.  I was in such bad shape I could not walk across the room without stopping to catch my breath and my feet and legs were really swollen.  I came home, looked all this up and found I had the symptoms of the beginning of congestive heart failure.  So I called my doctor's office.  I wanted to know how long I had to put my affairs in order.  The nurse, after asking questions, told me that it was the blood pressure medicine.  To come in and the doctor could confirm it.  Needless to say I was boiling mad.  All I got from the doctor was we need to get you on a new medicine.  No.  I am off all of it.  How do I get off Ziac.  Oh you can just quit.  It is low dose and won't hurt you.  The info said it could cause a heart attack if stopped suddenly.  I left and called the pharmacist.  He told me how to step down off the meds.  If I had stayed on that medicine, I would be dead now. 

And the crowning insult, the dermatologist I thought I had been seeing, not a dermatologist.  Scott and White had needed a dermatologist and did not have one, so they put a GP in as one.  I had never seen a dermatologist. 

Involvement in the Middle East

I keep reading the war hawks demanding we put boots on the ground again in the Middle East to stop IS.  I don't see any of them volunteering to do the job nor do I see any of them offering up their kids to go.  They want to send our troops because they have no skin in the game.  I do.  And I do not want my son back in that sandbox for any reason.  Those countries can defend themselves.  The whole Middle East is a sewer.  Saudi is arming the terrorists with our weapons that we have sold them.  Well, I think we just need to sit back and let them kill their own snakes.  At no time has any of those countries stepped up and taken any responsibility for the mess they have.  At no time have any of those countries committed any troops to help the West.  At no time has any of these countries put up any money to pay for us taking care of them.  We left Iraq with a stable and viable country.  They could not get their noses out of the 11th century long enough to run their own damn country.  And the army we trained.  They ran.  They ran like scalded chickens.  They don't deserve a country.  They make no effort to defend their own country and cry for the rest of the world to do their dirty work.  Sorry, I am all out of give-a-damn.

State of our country

In my opinion, the country is going to hell in a handbasket.  We have criminals demanding citizenship and no one making an effort to stop the.  We have several churches giving them sanctuary and no one stopping them.  We have the religious right demanding that they be allowed to force the country to live by their beliefs.  And we have the rest of us.  All we want is to be left alone, have our Constitution enforced, and every damn illegal deported from this country and force those countries to pay for the deportations of their citizens along with reimbursing the taxpayer for everything the illegals have cost us.  If they won't pay, freeze their assets in this country.  It should be the worst crime on the books for stealing from the taxpayer and yet it is done with impunity and no one says a damn thing.  No one tries to fix it either.  The illegals have more benefits and freedoms than we the citizens do.  As to those churches, revoke their non-profit status and make them pay retro active taxes.  I see no reason churches should be a tax free business anyway.  No where in the Constitution does it state that churches be tax free.  Time to take back our country and restore common sense, but I am afraid there are not enough of us out there with common sense to accomplish this.  The billionaires are screaming for more H1-B visas so they can hire Indians to fill the jobs that should go to citizens.  Their reasoning is that they can't get qualified citizens.  Well, hell  no, not at the third world salaries they want to pay.  Here is an idea.  If they want to bring over all this trash, let them post bond for each one they bring over along with any family members that come.  Allow them to be imported for, say, 1 year.  At the end of that year, they leave.  If they don't leave then the businessmen forfeit the bond and the bounty hunters are turned lose.  Bet we would see some very mute billionaires then.  Same for the businesses that hire illegals.  Arrest, fine the hell out of them, prosecute them and confiscate their business and sell it to pay deportation costs. 

Next we need to allow HHS to identify illegals and refuse benefits to them.  If they are going to the ER, they have to have a voucher from their embassy guaranteeing payment of the bill.  If no voucher, no medical treatment.  This would stop those from coming over here, dropping their anchor babies and stiffing us for the bill.  But this is a pipe dream.  There are no politicians with balls.  There is not one that would do this because it would piss off all their business donors.  It is all about money with our politicians and the Constitution is toilet paper.  This is one fed up United States citizen.

Politics

I keep trying to avoid any news.  It makes me so mad at how our congress behaves.  They are owned by big business and are not shy about it either. I never thought I would see my country in such sad shape.  And there is no respect for our elected President all because he is black.  He is hated because he is black.  We are overrun with illegals just walking into our country.  We now have to worry about imported terrorists among us.  Our economy is in the toilet.  We have the lowest minimum wage of any developed country.  Hell, we have companies coming here to open factories because they can pay less and offer no benefits.  Don't think so?  Check out Ikea.  They opened a factory in Tennessee, paying $8/hr, no benefits, manditory overtime without notice.  In short, they opened a sweatshop here in the United States.  In their home country, they pay $19/hr, paid medical, paid maternity leave, long paid vacations.  And they come over here and treat us like a third world country.  Why?  Because they can.  Our middle class is all but extinct.  All our safety nets go to the illegals.  Most of the jobs go to illegals as well.  Businesses make no bones about hiring illegals anymore and congress sits on their welfare butts and just gives their blessings.  Then they turn around and blame the President.  We need to put congress on an incentive pay scale.  If they do their jobs, we pay them, but not what they are making now and no benefits.  We keep a check off schedule.  If a congressman or senator does not make standard, not only do not pay him, but fine him.  This is our money and our lives they are dickin with and we the people just sit back and allow it to happen.  It is so easy to see why Hitler could rise to power.  He told the populace what they wanted to hear.  Case in point:  right-to-work law.  On the surface, it sounds like it is to protect the worker, right?  In essence, what it really does is give the employer the right to fire you without cause anytime he wants and with no notice whatsoever.  He can destroy your life and you have no recourse and the sheeple voted this in.  Why?  Because businesses told everyone unless they voted for this law, they would be forced to join a union and pay huge union dues.  People have got to be the dumbest creatures on this earth.  They are the only creatures that will shoot themselves and thank businesses and politicians for telling them to do so. 

Every illegal in this country gets free schooling for their brats, free food, WIC, tanf, and the biggie, free medical care.  Hospitals have reps for the insured, the medicaid patients, and the undocumented.  They do not even ask the undocumented how they are going to pay.  Try going to an ER and getting seen without producing proof of insurance or proof that you can pay for it, or a medicaid card.  You won't be seen, but those illegals will be seen, on your dollar.  And our congress has made this possible.  Not your President.  This was decades in the making.  Congress.  It all comes right back to congress.  And we have the dregs of our society in congress.  Not a lot of hope for our once great country.

Moved on

Well, we have moved on from the invasion of illegal immigrants.  The people were outraged.  The politicians paid it lip service and the taxpaying citizens got screwed again.  They have been moved on into the country, given free medical, food stamps, WIC, tanf and of course, free education--in their own language.  So who has rights in this country?  Not the taxpaying citizens.  Seems that the illegals and the filthy rich are the only ones with rights.  Sounds like Mexico, does it not?  We have become the United States of Mexico.  We no longer exist as a country.  And my father crawled through the jungles of the South Pacific to help preserve this country.  He would be so ashamed of it now.  I'm glad he is not here to see what we have become.  We will have to rake and scrape to get my grandchildren through college.  It will take a collective effort from all the family, but those illegals will go free.  I think Mexico should be forced to reciprocate.  We citizens of the United States should be able to go to Mexico and get free everything including a university education in our native language and the Mexican citizenry should be required to pay for it.  Seems only fair to me.  I would say that maybe we need to invade this country, but we really don't want it and if we invaded, we would be stuck with it.  Maybe it could not be any worse.  We are already supporting it and if we invaded, we would have all their natural resources including their oil  Something to think about. 

The mess the world is in

First I heard and saw people trashing our president because he did not immediately pull all the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan.  Then he was trashed because he would not jump into the Syrian civil war.  How dare he not help the rebels.  Now he is being trashed because we haven't mobilized all our troops and sent them back to Iraq to destroy those very Syrian rebels that they wanted to arm. 

We do not need to get involved in another war in the Middle East.  It is up to the Arab League to take care of their own problems and if Saudi Arabia would cut the funding from these terrorists, they would not have the money to operate.  They are using weapons given to them by Saudi Arabia that were bought from us.  The Saudis stand behind the curtain and stir the pot, then look to us to stop their mess and clean it up.  Time we told them to clean their own damn house.  Not our circus, not our monkeys.  As to them coming here and causing trouble, when they do, no trial, just and execution.  To any who cause us trouble. 

It would be in our best interest both security wise and financially to deport all those illegals.  I realize this will not happen because Mexico does not want them back.  They are Mexico'sGDP.  Without the money sent from here stolen by the illegals, Mexico would sink.  So we are Mexico's welfare program and we are the retirement program for the rest of the world.  You would think that our politicians would feel some shame for what they have done to our country.  Nope. And my congressman is one of the worst.  Bill Flores.  But that is another post.  This is about the Middle East.  As to the two journalists that were killed,  they were there of their own free will.  I can't muster a lot of sympathy for them.  They chose their course.  Troops are a different matter.  And just look at all the politicians that do not have any skin in the game.  None of them have kids in the military.  Biden's son went to Iraq and did his duty as a reservist.  Ted Cruz has never served and yet he is one of the most vocal trying to get us back into the mess.  As my dad said just before he died,"Drop me and a bunch of politicians behind the lines and I can promise you that I will come out and they won't."  Dad had no use for politicians.  He was a WW11, UDT vet. 

I am trying really hard

I am trying really hard to just ignore the news.  I find it hard to do.  I just read today that "since the economy and construction have picked up, more money is being sent home to Mexico to the tune of $1.9billion last month."  We have kids that are going to bed hungry every night.  We have 35 million homeless school children.  We have several million children in the system.  We have thousands of homeless vets.  And we are supporting Mexico.  How ironic is that.  We sacrifice our own citizens to support another country.  How do these politicians look at themselves in the mirror every morning?  How dare they allow this to happen!  How dare they just give our country away! We count for nothing, nothing.  And when the middle class is extinct and the illegals control the country, then it will be too late and we will truly be a third world country with the rich and the rest in poverty and we are headed that way at warp speed and Washington sits on their well padded welfare rears and just  lets it happen.  This is disgusting.  I find both parties equally to blame and all those damn politicians should have to live in the trenches and try to make ends meet like the rest of us.  I have never been as disgusted with our politicians as I am now.  This is obscene.  They get free medical care, free schooling, food stamps, WIC, Tanf, SSI, and God knows what else.  Oh, and now they have protection from discrimination through the Labor department.  Just this week a company, was hauled on the coals because they told their green card holders that they had to present a green card that was not expired.  Well, you can't do that.  That is discrimination.  Really?  Where does it stop?  I guess a better question would be will it stop?  I don't think it will.  I live in Texas and we are overrun with illegals and they just pretend they have a right to be here and they drive without a license, cause accidents and nothing happens to them.  My country is lost.  And unless the citizenry forces the elected officials to clean it up, nothing will happen.  I am damn tired of paying taxes so those thieves can have a life that my own grandchildren cannot look forward to.  Now I will write my congressman, my two senators, Speaker of the House, Senate Majority leader and the White House and voice my complaint.  I do it every day and so should every other citizen before we become the illegals.

Ferguson

I just read a report that the cop in Ferguson that killed the black man was really beaten up.  He has among other things a ruptured eye socket.  If this turns out to be the case and he did take a beating from the man he shot, it puts Governor Nixon in a really bad spot because he called for the vigorous prosecution of the cop.  Nixon made it sound like he was already found guilty.  As I have previously stated, I am an independent leaning to democrat.  However, I cannot back Nixon in this mess.  And anyone who tries to appease the thugs at the expense of the cops had better be ready to supply permanent National Guards there because he won't find anyone who will be willing to work as a cop in this area.  I would not.

Ferguson

Most of our citizens cannot comprehend what is happening in Ferguson, Missouri.  Look at it this way.  It is a poor black (why they want to be called blacks, is beyond me) neighborhood.  A thug is killed by a white police officer.  Because law abiding blacks are routinely killed by police in this country, the entire neighborhood is up in arms.  And the mother of this person who was killed is fueling the fire.  The majority of those rioting are the worthless ones.  Many from outside the county and even outside the state.  The citizens don't trust the police and the police don't trust the citizens.  Why?  Because of past history and because of bad cops.  Well, we have bad cops everywhere, but we have to stop and realize that they work for us and the majority of them just want to do their jobs.  We need to make it as easy as possible for them to do that job.  This cop was tried, convicted and hanged without a trial or any evidence presented except the lies of his companion.  Because he was a white cop and he shot a black man, then he is automatically in the wrong, the black man is automatically a saint and they crucify the cop.  However, if the cop had been black, there would not have been the riots and uproar.  Blacks, decent ones, complain because the police won't patrol their neighborhoods, then do not back them when they try to enforce the law.  Blacks complain that there are no businesses in their neighborhood, but when they are angry at the police, they loot and burn those businesses that are there.  Can't have it both ways.  If you want to live in filth, up to you. Police your own neighborhood and when there is a need for police, back them up.  Nothing will change until the community wants it to change.  Cops don't just shoot black kids.  Those are the ones that make the news, though.  As one reporter said, there was another shooting of a Michael Brown not far from Ferguson several years ago.  a bunch of teenagers were up to mischief and a cop tried to pull them over.  The driver, Brown, cut the lights and went into a driveway.  He forgot to put the truck in park.  The cop came up behind it.  The truck started to roll back.  Instead of the cop getting out of the way, he opened fire.  He killed Brown and wounded the two other kids with him.  It was estimated that the truck was moving at about 3 miles per hour, real slow.  The cop was vindicated and nothing happened to him.  And he was in the right as far as the law.  But it was really stupid on his part.  He could have just stepped to the side, waited till the truck stopped and then arrested the boys.  He didn't.  But you did not see any media, no rioting, no demanding that cop's head on a stick.  Why not?  Because the kids were white.  I am tires of the victim card being played.  It is time the black community stepped up and cleaned their house if they expect the rest of the country to take them seriously.  And drop the African-American crap.  They are American citizens.  I would venture none have ever laid eyes on Africa. And what part of Africa are they claiming citizenship?  Africa is a big continent.  Give it up.  Just be grateful you are here.

The mess that is our country

 We have a congress that is owned by special interests and has not and will not do anything to benefit the country.  We have illegals just pouring over our border with Mexico.  And the only thing that congress does is point the finger at the president and accuse him of causing the problem when, in reality, this problem has existed for over 50 years and no congress has made an effort to stop it.  Nor will they.  They will not force enforcement of the immigration laws on businesses.  They will not allow HHS to even verify citizenship before benefits are granted.  And they step all over the states when they try to reign in the mess.  And my property taxes are going up over $200 to pay for the schools we have to provide for them.  That $200 may not seem like much to anyone, but my overall property taxes are, before the increase, almost $4200.  You would think I have an expensive house, right?  Maybe in the neighborhood of $250-500,000?  Not even close.  My house is valued at 189,000.  I will have to see because I can't afford the property taxes and insurance.  And you visit any school in my small town and every one of them is overerun with non-English speaking Hispanic kids.  And none of these kids' families pay a dime in anything.  No income taxes, no medicare taxes, no property taxes.  Nothing.  So it comes out of my pocket.  Where is the fairness in this that a citizen that has paid taxes all her life and now lives on a fixed income has to support Mexico and Central America?  Where is the fairness that illegals get more rights than I do and more benefits?  I can't afford a trip to the dentist for a bad tooth because it will cost over $400.  Yet these kids get the best of care, food stamps, free schooling (free for them, not me), tanf, WIC, and everything else out there that the citizen can be forced to pay for.  At some point, and I am afraid it will be too late, the citizens of this country will take their country back, kick out all the leaches, legal and illegal, and make this country what it once was.  At least, for the sake of the upcoming generations, I hope this happens and soon.  We have stolen from our children and grandchildren and we are letting these thieves into their house and allowing them to steal everything from them.  This is so wrong.  Our citizenship is worth more than this. 

ferguson

I hadn't really been keeping up with the events in Ferguson, Missouri until this weekend.  I find it disgusting.  There is no reason for the looting and rampage that is taking place there.  They want justice so they say.  They are not ready to accept any justice other than the policeman being executed.  They don't want justice, they want revenge and if that evidence points to the fact that Michael Brown did indeed try to overpower the cop, then everyone is lying.   They don't want to become a part of the solution.  They are happy playing the race card whenever they are busted.  After all this is over and all the businesses have left the community, then they will be complaining because there are no shops for them.  They will be griping because no businesses will move into the area.  And they will be playing the "poor black me" card again because we are so isolated.  No one will help us.  They don't want help.  They want to be able to run rough shod over anyone who is not living in the projects and sucking at the federal government for their existence.  And they are always screaming that they are owed because of the fact they were brought over as slaves.  Well, I don't believe that any one of them has ever  been a slave and let's be very honest here.  They don't want to work and be productive members of society and the blacks who do pull themselves out of the mess are called Uncle Toms.  Those who have made it in life are ridiculed by those who don't want to make it unless it is given to them. 

I am also tired of hearing that I owe them.  I damn well do not.  Genocide was practiced against my people and no one ever even mentions that.  It is all about the blacks. 

Case in Texas.  James Byrd was a black man who was dragged to death in Jasper, Texas.  Defense attorney demanded that the trial be moved out of the county because " his defendants could not get a fair trial."  It was moved to Brazos country and the national media stirred the pot.  The defendants were white so would be acquitted.  A jury of both blacks and whites were chosen, the trial was held, no media allowed in the court room.  The jury returned a verdict of guilty of murder.  The jury sentenced two of the defendants to death and gave the third on life in prison simply because Mr. Byrd's family asked that he not be executed.  They knew the young man and felt that he had fallen in with the wrong crowd.  Mr. Byrd got justice.  And my guess would be that those same defendants would have gotten the same sentence if they had been tried in Newton County where the killing took place. 

I don't think blacks want any justice.  They like living  in their squalor.  Does that mean I think all blacks are like this?  No.  There are more that have made a life for themselves and come up to middle class than there are that behave like this.  Why won't they speak out?  Because they would be tarred and feathered by this segment.  And I put trashy whites in the same catagory as these blacks.  The only difference is that trashy whites do not loot and pillage.  Why?  We would not allow it.  So why do we allow the blacks to do this?  Because we don't know what to do with them.  They were put in our schools.  Many excelled.  Many were only there to cause trouble.  So the whites that could moved out, leaving the schools to the blacks.  The blacks destroyed these schools.  And it was the whites' fault for leaving .  I fault no one for trying to defend their children and keep them safe and if a school becomes unsafe for your child, you should move. 

Do my beliefs make me racist?  If so, so be it.  However, I have never met anyone more racist than a good many of these welfare blacks.  If a cop stops me, I keep my hands where he can see them.  I don't want a mistake to cost me my life.  If he asks for my insurance and license, I tell him where they are and then I reach for them.  These cops, and I am not defending bad cops here, see the worst that humanity has to offer.  When they leave for their shift, they don't know if they will be returning home alive.  They are always afraid for their lives.  The public needs to recognize this and try to make it a  little easier for them.  I'm still waiting for Michael Brown's parents to explain his robbing the store and roughing up the clerk, or does that not matter.  If you want to complain about a bad cop, start with a call to the chief, then the police commissioner, the county or city judge, the state attorney general, the governor, and to the DOJ. Every one of these can be reached by email without ever leaving your house.  Don't just bitch to friends.  Do something that will change things. 

Violence in France.

I just read a news article about the anti-semantic violence in France by Palestinians who have settled there and the violence is against native Jews.  My take: France should round up every one of the Palestinians and deport them back to the Gaza strip.  This country should do the same as should England.  One of the premises of immigration is that you leave your allegiance to the country your left.  You allegiance must be to your new country if you are to be a citizen of that new country.  I am seeing this in my own country.  Those coming in now are not wanting to be citizens of the United States.  They are here for what they can get, expect to be catered to, and fully expect to bring their ways with them.  Time to clean house.  Time to send them packing.  It takes courage and grit to stand up and mold your country.  These coming in now have no courage and no grit.  Those coming in now expect to be taken care of.  We didn't found this country on welfare.  We founded this country on individual freedoms and each and every one of us were expected to fight to defend this country if necessary.  None of these coming now care about the country.  They don't give a tinkers damn about what it took to build this country.  During WW11, if we had had the makeup of the country we have now, we could not have won that war.  They would not have fought for this country, but they would have spied against us.  No sympathy for anyone who does not have the guts to stand up and fight for their country and I am seeing those types every day and I don't like it.

Iraq

I am seeing where a lot of fools are pushing for Obama to put troops back in Iraq. While I agree that the US is at fault for the mess because we invaded a country and tried to set up Democracy when they don't want democracy.  That being said, we do not belong back there.  We left them a strong, viable country.  They don't have the backbone to handle it.  The so called Iraqi soldiers shucked their uniforms and ran when the criminals came calling.  Exactly how do we fix a country that does not have the guts to defend itsself?  We need to re-learn our lesson from Vietnam.  Many soldiers have told me that the South Vietnamese thought they were fools for defending South Vietnam.  They were told by the South Vietnamese soldiers that if the Viet Cong ever broke through to the south, then the South Vietnamese would shuck the uniforms and declare that they had been fighting for the Viet Cong  along.  We left and look now long it took the country to fall to the North.  All that time, money and lives wasted for nothing.  For nothing except the politicians that got rich and the defense contractors who got to test their new weapons at the expense of 58,000 young men, many not even out of their teens.  And the country turned right around and allowed the Bush regime to get us  back into a similar mess in Iraq on a pack of lies.  Who benefited?  The same group from the Vietnam era.  Cheney, Rummy, Wolfie, Bolton all benefited.  And we, the American people lost, again.  So did the Iraqi citizens.  So if these arm chair soldiers want us back fighting in Iraq, let them pack up and take off.  I will even contribute to buying their tickets.  And once there, they will be on their own.  They should not have too much trouble.  Let them put their ideas into action.  However, our troops do not need to be back in that sandbox.  Many are still suffering from mental and physical problems now.  And the first to go should be Bush, Cheney, Wolfie, Rummy and Bolton.  And Connie Rice.  All should have to step up and defend the Iraqi people. 

Texa Engineering Extension Agency

I went to work there about 3 years ago.  I worked in the mail room and delivered mail between divisions within the agency.  Back around the first of July, I found a part time job that was perfect for me.  I needed more flexibility but still needed to work.  I turned in my resignation with two weeks notice.  I left on July 16, on a Wednesday at the end of a pay period.  I was asked if I would return part time.  They would work with me when  I needed to be off.  Against my better judgement, I reluctantly agreed because they were under a hiring freeze.  So I left on July 16 and got a call on July 18 asking if I could come in and take care of the afternoon work as my co-worker had called in. So I went. 

On August 6, after I left work and had gotten home, I got a call from my supervisor telling me they no longer needed after Friday.  I was being terminated.  However, they would be calling me when my co-worker called in sick or took off.  No you won't be calling me and this is really crappy.  I gave up a job I really wanted to help you out and I also gave you two weeks notice when I left and this is what I get?  What happened to the professionalism that is always touted?  This is jut plain crappy. 

I went in the next morning before hours, put my keys and name tag in an interoffice envelope, stuck in a note telling them that each and every member of management in that crappy agency could kiss my grits.  I kinda kept it clean. 

I have since learned that a woman form another division was brought into my department, a job created for her.  She is to sit outside the director's office, do some filing and whatever the director wants her to do.  She was also to be trained on sorting the mail and doing in office deliveries.  In other words, she was being paid around $30-35,000 to do nothing.  I was to be kept on call to fill in for my co-worker when she needed to be off.  According to the gossip I go, no one in my department knew this was going to go down and they have been told nothing.  Don't know, don't care.  It was crappy and unprofessional. 

This agency has 11 divisions and all but one has an old white man in charge.  The one that does not has a black male in charge.  No women heading any of these divisions.  This agency is hostile to women.  And they can take the job and shove it. 

Now I got to find another job.

Illegals

It's looking like all those illegals will join the rest of the illegals in this country.  The report of 11 million is so wrong.  I would bet at least 30 million and growing daily.  This is so wrong on all counts.  We have children going to bed hungry every night.  We have 35 million homeless children.  We have over 2 million in the system that we do not care for.  We have children being handed back to abusive parents because we don't have anything in place to take care of them.  Our schools are no longer our schools.  They are run for Mexico and Central America.  Our kids are pushed to the side while our teachers who are being paid to teach our children, concentrate on those who speak no English.  And those in Washington do not have a clue because they are so far removed from the everyday life of their constituents that they don't know and don't want to know what we are up against.  I would like my representative to spend a week sitting in the classrooms of our elementary schools.  It's isn't like he doesn't have the time.  This do-nothing congress has only been in session around 120 days.  Wouldn't you like to be paid $174,000 a year, have your insurance paid for, have a free office, free gym, discount cafeteria, free parking and only have to work between 100 and 120 days per year?  I would love it, but that is not to be for the working class of this country.  We just have to keep working and paying for those who won't work and those coming here illegally and stealing from us. 

Some states are now issuing drivers licenses to illegals.  What do they use for identification or is it like the schools where none is required for them?  I have to take my birth certificate, my social security card and proof of state residence before I can get a license.  Why am I required to meet all these rules and those here illegally do not? This is my country.  My family has been in this country since before a white man set foot on the shores.  And I am treated like a criminal trying to steal something just to put my kids in schools or get a drivers license.  And the politicians see nothing wrong with this?  We have no congress anymore.  They are controlled by and working for special interests.  The democrats are, well I'm not sure what the democrats are looking for.  The Republicans are looking for business to control the country and business wants the illegals because of cheap labor so all in congress, especially the republicans, are giving them the country and making the working class pay for it.  I say it is time for a revolution.

Getting out of our borders

I don't think there is anyone in the world that is not aware that Russia is causing the problems in Ukraine.  I also don't think there is much we can do about it.  Europe can.  They can isolate Russia.  They can cut off all economic ties with Russia.  Will they?  Probably not, if history is any indication. As to Israel, that is conundrum and maybe no fix is there.  The Arab world is going to continue to back Hamas.  We will continue to back Israel.  The Arab world has stated that it will  not quit until Israel ceases to exist.  And yet the Arabs can't even get along with each other.  We should not have meddled in Iraq, but we did, and we left them with a healthy, viable country.  They would not even try to make it work.  The Arab would does not want democracy.  They like living in the 11th century.  I won't be around to see how this plays out over the next 50 years, but I think we will see real problems with food and water and these little snits will cease to matter because the world will be fighting over food and water.  They won't stop reproducing like rabbits, but will keep demanding more from the earth.  Well, guess what, Mother Nature has billions of years to repair the earth.  Mankind does not.  We will breed ourselves into extinction and that would not be a bad thing.

Politics

I have been trying to ignore politics because it makes me so angry at the stupidity and corruption that is ruling our country and most of the world.  I am seeing posts on facebook that  ignorant people post.  One in particular is that " A Texas general in the National Guard has stated that the guard is going to close the border and stop all those illegals from crossing.  I find it very sad that these people buying into this and believing this.  Their willful stupidity about our laws and the Constitution is downright scary.  They are lauding Perry for sending troops to the border.  Those troops can do nothing except observe and report and they are not allowed on the private land along the Rio Grande and most of the land along the Rio is privately owned.  Reagan, that wonderful president, sent troops to the border in the 1980's,.  The only thing that accomplished was getting a 14 year old citizen killed on his own land.  Two soldiers were hidden in the brush.  This 14 year old was checking his father's stock.  As with everyone else who lives in the vast country in South Texas, he was carrying a rifle.  A rifle is needed for snakes and wild animals.  You never know what you will encounter and you are miles from anything.  So this boy hears rustling in the brush.  Assuming it is possibly a mountain lion or a wild boar, he shoots into the brush.  The soldiers hidden there, without his father's permission, shoot and kill this 14 year old.  The troops were quickly removed and no charges were ever brought.  Several laws were broken here.
1) posting troops on private land is illegal
2) posting troops on private land without the permission of the landowner is definitely illegal
3)posting troops on US soil is illegal.
4)killing a US citizen is murder any way you cut it.

So we do not want troops on the border.  What is needed is more money for more law enforcement.  The sheriffs have asked repeatedly for more money to hire more deputies and get more equipment.  Austin has ignored them and so has Washington. There is an easy fix to our illegal problem.  Just enforce the laws.  Arrest, fine and prosecute any and all who hire them.  No jobs, no illegals.  But business owns our congress so that isn't going to happen and if the politicians could find a way to get to Washington without our votes, we would really be thrown under the bus.  I never thought I would see my country in the mess it is in.

The farce that is Ameica

I have been trying to just ignore the news lately.  I am so disgusted with our elected politicians.  We have half Mexico and Central America's poor showing up on our doorstep and we are just throwing open the door.  We don't even know who is coming into this country.  And we have the drug cartels providing cover fire so they can get across the Rio and our Law Enforcement is not even allowed to return fire.  We are under invasion and no one seems to give a damn.  The Republicans have their heads so far up the rears of the tea turds that they are paralized.  The democrats are "wandering in the desert" and seem to think that by allowing any and all into our country will get them tons of votes.  And the American taxpayer is getting gouged more and more.  We now have to put up with even more illegals in our schools, neighborhoods, medical clinics.  We have to shell out for even more benefits for those who are not even citizens and we do not have a say in whether we are willing to do so.  At this point, I am not even sure we have a fixable country.  We allow the rich, the evangelicals, and businesses control everything.  The rest of us are just toilet paper and all these groups are using us up and sending us to the sewer.  And we are royal toilet paper for the illegals.  Every one of these countries have embassies in this country, most in Houston.  Dump those kids at their gates and tell them to take care of their own.  If this seems heartless, so be it.  I am tired of being used and used until there is nothing left.  My father did not crawl through the jungles of the South Pacific for this.  Two politicians stand out.  John Cronyn and Henry Cuellar of Texas.  They are trying against all odds.  Damn disgusting.

Invasion

My country is being invaded by illegals.  My government is doing nothing to stop it.  All those businesses hiring them need to be shut down.  If they can't hire and pay citizens then they should not be allowed to operate.  Deportation.  No amnesty.  The voters in Virginia sent a powerful message with the defeat of Cantor.  But the politicians in Washington can't seem to wrap their minds around the fact that they represent the rank and file citizen of the United States.  They do not represent these lawbreakers sneaking into our country.  They represent us.  The taxpaying citizen.  Until they wake up and smell the stink, we will continue to vote them out.  Then we will go after those businesses that hire them.  And a lot of those tea turds are business owners that hire illegals.  They will have their day of reckoning.  The taxpayer is fed up.  We work to pay taxes only to see those taxes given to foreigners.

Overall cost of illegals just entering the US is 113 billion.  This does not include the money paid to these countries.  29 billion from Federal Government and 84 billion to state and local costs.  And Texas pays out a ton for illegals.  52 billion is spent on educating the children.  Now does anyone wonder why we are broke and why our schools are in the toilet?  The middle class could do wonders with that money.

Most do not pay income taxes and those that do, get it all back in tax credits.  What does the average citizen gain from this?  Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  And if you think that all you pay is income tax, think again.  Taxes and fees on phone bills average $20/month.  Ditto for energy, city services, cable and don't forget sales tax and in most states, income tax.  Here in Texas, we pay a great deal in property taxes and our schools are majority Spanish speaking illegals.  We're screwed unless we get politicians that can do the hard stuff and enforce our immigration laws and deport, arrest, fine, close the border.  Along with that, make the embassies of those countries responsible for their citizens.  Mexico screams loud and long when we execute one of their criminals, but don't make a peep about using us as their welfare system.  Time to force them to pay the piper.  Speak up.  Contact your elected officials.  Let them know you are done.  Hold them accountable.  Virginia did.

Irony of the prisoner release

Our President negotiated for God knows how long to gain the release of our soldier who has been held in Afghanistan for 5 years.  He pulled it all together and he is now in our hands.  And enter congress.  The Republicans are pissed because he did not delay the trade until he could notify congress and allow them to vote on it.  This is the irony.  That same congress would have left our soldier in the hands of the Taliban to spite the President.  They would not have allowed the swap and they would have left our man there to die.  I will say this right up front and loud.  I am so ashamed of my country right now.  I am ashamed of what it has become.  I am ashamed that the small minded, bigoted, mean fundies have been allowed to gain control of my country.  I am ashamed of my elected officials for allowing it to happen.  I am ashamed that they have made us look stupid and petty on the world stage.  I am ashamed that they feel they can treat our duly elected President they way that they are doing.  And I am ashamed of my fellow citizens for allowing it to happen.  This country has not been in this big of a mess in my lifetime.  Yep.  This congress is full of fools who are in it for what they can get.  They don't give a tinkers damn about the country.  Take Ted Cruz.  Cruz is out to be dictator.  He has no history with this country.  His father is a terrorist.  He only sees this country as a chance to get himself a dictatorship.  Well, I hope the slime in congress will devour each other.  That would be fittiing.

House Select Committee

I noticed that we now are paying for a House Select Committee on Benghazi.  We invaded a country, killed thousands of their citizens, got 5000 of our own killed and countless of our own wounded and now cannot even take care of them and we need to investigate what happened at Benghazi.  The chain of command screwed up.  That is what happened.  However,. the invasion of another country without just cause, the destruction of their infrastructure, the looting of their country's arifacts, the destruction of their government on a pack of lies is of no concern to our congress.  Our country is in the toilet and I think we need to flush all the politicians down but it would destroy our plumbing and I sure don't want to pollute the oceans with them.  I can't think a single reason they exist.  The middle class is dead, college grads cannot find a job and are up to their armpits in student loans, our medical complex is screwing the citizens right and left and congress's only concern is what facts they may be able to twist to make the Dems look bad and maybe give cover for the losers calling themselves Republicans.  I'm fed up with the whole mess.  Frankly, it seems to me that it will be good for the country when global warming puts DC underwater.  The politicians won't be missed.  And now congress is jumping on the President because of the mess the VA is in.  Hello!  Congress has the oversight authority, not the President.  Congress has allowed the VA to remain in a mess and indeed helped make the mess by allowing Reagan to gut it.  Congress has always turned their heads the other way on the VA, IRS, BLM and most of the other agencies until there was a chance to make brownie points, then they jump on the bandwagon.  It is way past time we outlawed lobbying and put them on a merit based pay scale.  No benefits.  Just merit based pay.  They need to be down in the trenches with what used to be the middle class.

illegals and the border

Just read in a paper from the South Texas border region around McAllen that the border patrol are catching at least 1000 illegals a day.  From October, 2013 until now, they have stopped 160,000 and we don't have a politician with the balls to do the right thing for the country and stop this.  They don't care if our country is destroyed.  As long as they get their kickbacks that is their only interest.  And the businesses are only interested in the cheap labor so they will keep hiring them.  The taxpayer is screwed.  And if they could figure out a way to bypass the voter and just install whomever they wanted, they would do that too.  Personally I think Congress should be paid on merit only with no benefits.  Don't do the job, no pay.  I am so disgusted with all the elected officials right now I would love to see every one of them deported to a third world country and have their passports stolen so they could not get back.  We would be better off.

Politics and Illegals

I really had hopes for this president.  I thought that finally we had someone who would clean out the illegal aliens.  Well, he is really just trying to find a way for them to be given citizenship.  Like everyone else in Washington, he is so far above the trenches that he does not have a clue.  He doesn't see our schools in Texas catering to illegals.  Our own kids are ignored while we concentrate on educating Mexico.  The school district here has gone so far as to go to Mexico and hire teachers because they can relate to the Spanish-speaking students.  We are an English speaking country.  Why do they not learn English? And why do w not make them pay tuition?  Why is it the responsibility of the taxpayer to have to educate the rest of the Americas?  My property taxes are so high that I am going to sell my house.  I can't afford them anymore. And they know how to milk our system before they ever get here.  This taxpayer is fed up.

politics again

I am seeing where the Republicans are all up in arms about Bengazi.  Yet none of them ever uttered a word about the thousands killed and maimed for oil.  None of these idiots ever uttered a word about the mess Bush left us in nor about the thousands of Iraqi citizens that were killed, nor the families of the troops who came back broken and face a lifetime of hardship because of this.  And for what?  For oil.  Yes, Bengazi was bad, but wasn't the lives of our troops worth a little outrage?  Wasn't the maimed and damaged troops worth a little outrage?  Hell yes.  So where were the Republicans then?  Why was there no outrage and why was there no special committee to investigate the lies that got us into Iraq in the first place?  Where is the outrage at the taxpayer money thrown away?  Where is the outrage at the veterans not getting the health care they deserve?  Well, maybe if the created enough of a diversion, we will just forget about the Republicans putting us in this mess in the first place.  Maybe we will just forget that they took a huge surplus and a balanced budget and put us trillions in debt. Maybe we will just forget that they gave Bush carte blanc to do whatever he wanted and spend whatever he wanted.  Ergo, his administration spent like drunken sailors on leave.  So now we are just supposed to forget about that and pretend it never happened.  Well, it did.  So did the destruction of the economy on their watch.  This Independent will not be forgetting.  Cheney and Bush should have been tried for treason.  Rumsfeldt should have been dropped in the middle of Bagdad and told to have fun.  Bet he would not have been so gung ho on the invasion then.

Politics

I have been wrapped up in the effects of the weather on my home state.  Those tornados were horrible.  I don't know why we are surprised.  Vilonia and Mayflower are in the tornado belt in Arkansas, but it is still horrible.  Why no shelters?  These are poor people and they can't afford those shelters.  Some did have them.  Most did not.  My heart goes out to them.  This is something they deal with just like Louisiana deals with hurricanes.  These people just pick up the pieces and move on.  These are people who have never counted on the government to fix this for them.  They rely on each other and everyone helps out.  They are good people.

Costs of Illegal Aliens

I keep hearing how the illegals contribute to the economy.  Well. I saw some figures today that belie that.  From 2009-2011 we paid out $91.6 million to illegals through Medicare payments and from 2010-2012, we paid out $26.2 million in Medicare Advantage.  So they don't cost us anything, huh?  They are not even suppose to be able to draw Medicare nor Medicare Advantage.  And if they are here illegally, have they been here all those years or did they just come over to collect Medicare?  We already know they cost us out the yingyang in Medicaid payments. loss of taxes, free schooling for their brats.  I for one am sick of it.  It is time our politicians stepped up to the plate and took care of the citizens of this country.  Mexico has a GDP because of the over $2billion sent from the US by their citizens here stealing.  And my senator had the nerve to brag on their GDP.  Yeah, well if they took care of their own welfare and left us alone, our citizens could get on their feet as well.  Wages in the Swift packing plant back in the not to distant past were $15/hr.  Now Swift pays $10/hr and hires almost 100% illegals.  When they were raided by ICE a few years ago, they had to shut down because they had no workforce left.  Tell you anything?  Call, write, email your congressman and senators.  Demand deportation and enforcement of our immigration laws already on the books.

Might want to think before jumping on the bandwagon

The Republicans that backed Cliven Bundy are deserting like rats on a sinking ship.  They are tripping over their own feet distancing themselves from him when just last week he was their hero.  All they had to do was have a conversation with the fool and they would have seen what he was-a racist fool.  But, hey, it is much easier to just jump on that bandwagon and damn the consequences.  It would be nice to see politicians putting the taxpaying middle class first for a change.  But I don't think we will ever see that again.  I saw a post today that said: Sometimes the best, kindest person is one with tats all over and the most judgemental of us all are walking into church each Sunday.  Yep.  That is the way it is.  Sad to say.  As my daddy said, wouldn't want to be standing next to those good church goers on Judgement Day.

Old World Order

Time magazine did an article in their magazine of March 31, 2014 about the problems in the Baltics and the Middle East.  In essence, Time points out that the boundaries for these countries were artificially drawn.  The article was written by Robert Kaplan who is chief geopolitical analyst for Stratfor, a private global intelligence firm.  And this was taken straight from the time article so I am not plagerizing.  Anyway, Mr Kaplan points out that the West sees things in economics while geography trumps economics in these countries.  And he states that what is happening in Ukraine is geography's revenge.  These countries with artificial boundaries will revert to their ethnic and tribal boundaries and there is nothing the West can do about it.  He further points out that the West sees the world in terms of laws and international agreements while the rest of the world still thinks in terms of mountains, deserts and strategic ports.  I saw it stated once that Great Britain, in the early 1900's just lay down  a map of the Middle East and drew the boundaries for the countries giving no heed to tribal lands nor to what tribe they were including in these countries nor whether these tribes could get along to make a country.  So because of this, we have the mess in the Middle East.  Iraq is home to three feuding tribes.  So are several other countries in that area and Saudi Arabia is stirring the pot.  We may be living in the 21st century, but the rest of the world is still in the 19th century.  As Mr.Kaplan points out, international relations are still about who can do what to whom.  Ergo, Putin seizing the Crimea and eventually all of Ukraine.

Idiots again

I am sure y'all have read about the standoff with Cliven Bundy in Nevada with the BLM.  Well we have our own idiot in Texas trying to create the same scenario for political purposes.  There is land along the Red River which creates the border with Oklahoma.  As the river changes and due to flooding, new patches of land are created and sometimes destroyed.  Such is the case with a river.  There is never a clear river bank.  Anyway, there is about 140 acres there that belongs to no one and is managed by the BLM.  Why, because it could disappear with the next flood, it could be moved to the Oklahoma side, or increase.  It is a fluid piece of land.  Well, Greg Abbott, our idiot Lt. Governor, has decided to stage a fight with the BLM over this small piece of land.  He is going to try to force the BLM to cede the land to Texas as it should be Texas public land.  It is all a political ploy in his bid for governor.  This fool is so full of crap.  He allowed Canada to come in and take Texas land by eminent domain for the damn pipeline which will not benefit Texans at all.  He is taking the ranch that belongs to the radical Mormon sect under eminent domain because he can.  He allows any and all businesses to grab land from the landowner anytime they want it. This is really the pot calling the kettle black.  That fool will sell out to anyone that will give him a dollar.  He would steal the pennies off his dead grandmother's eyes is a businessman told him to or it would look good in the press.  I am so disgusted with our politicians.  I would leave Texas, but there seems no place better in the US.  Canada is starting to look good to me. For political reasons, Perry has now jumped on the bandwagon to make all the illegals citizens.  They don't want citizenship.  They just want everything free that they can get.  They are here to steal from us, pure and simple.  And the politicians are holding their hands and saying, "Hey, there is a benefit you missed.  Here let me get it for you."  And to hell with the American citizen trying to hold it together and make ends meet.  Disgusting. We should just change our title to United States of Mexico.

I am trying to stay away from politics because it just make me mad.  Flaming mad.  Congress set up the non-profit status and rules.  Congress tasked the IRS with overseeing these tax shelters.  Now congress is angry because the IRS has investigated one of the tea turds non-profits.  They are tearing up the director that was in charge of the non-profits.  They ought to be ashamed of themselves.  The IRS is only doing what they have been instructed by congress to do.  For my money, there should be no non-profits.  You make the money, whether by donations or work, you pay taxes on said money.  There should be no one nor any business above paying taxes in this country.  That includes churches.  Yes churches.  There is no reason for churches to be able to stack up the money they do and pay no taxes on it.  Billy Graham is a classic example.  He got rich off religion.  Not right.  The Catholic Church is filthy rich.  No taxes.  Wrong.  The political action corporations, yeah they are supposed to be all about educating the public on the politics of the day.  They are not supposed to be donating to any candidate.  And everyone believes that they don't.  They do and that is what has gotten them in hot water with the IRS and they went crying to their puppets in congress and their puppets are doing just what they are told to do.  We are so screwed.  And we have a government, both parties, dead set on granting amnesty to 20-million illegal aliens--again.  It didn't work when Reagan did it, it won't work now.  It will just encourage them to pour into the country.  And we are already educating their brats from pre-K through college when our own can't afford to attend colleges.  We're screwed.  H1-B visas are handed out like candy.  No company has to even make an attempt to show that they have tried to hire Americans.  Just ask for the H1-B visas and your wish is granted.  We are so, so screwed.

Our politicians are going to give our country away.  They don't give a tinkers damn about the citizens.  They are all about the criminals sneaking into our country and stealing us blind.   Oh those poor people.  They just want a better life.  Yeah.  And they are getting it at the expense of our own citizens.  Center for Immigration Studies has just published an article about two illegal Indians coming here, setting up several businesses, stealing, and generally screwing the taxpayer.  They live in a $1.7million mansion in Great Falls Va.  The house has 6928 square feet with 5 bedrooms 4 full baths two half-baths, a two car garage and a swimming pool.  The were busted and came before an immigration judge.  They were put on probation, placed under house arrest for one month, and told to pay $5,100 in penalties.  And just in case they were pressed for cash, they could pay off the fine at a rate of $250/month for 20 months. Has it been a citizen, that citizen would have been in jail before the ink dried on the orders.  I find this disgusting.  Talk about screwing the citizens!  Each and every citizen needs to email their congressman, senators, speaker Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mich McConnell, Eric Holder and the White House.  Demand that all illegals be deported at once.  No hearings.  You are here illegally, we send you packing.  I for one am tired of seeing my tax money go to supporting the trash from all over the world.  Time to stop it.
