Politics as usual

I have just been appalled at the outright stupidity of our newest senator from Texas.  I can't figure out if he is really that stupid.  It isn't ignorance because you can fix ignorance but stupid is another matter.  Take the story about his father.  According to Teddy boy, his esteemed father came to this country on a student visa in 1956.  He also admits that his father "fought for Castro."  That his father was imprisoned by Batista.  So how did he get a passport and a student visa?  Cruz's webpage says that Daddy Cruz came to the US in 1956.  Batista was still in power and Castro was in exile in Mexico in 1956.  So just how did Daddy Cruz get to the United States?  The exodus began when Batista was overthrown in 1959.  So Daddy Cruz was illegal and married Mama Cruz to obtain his green card.  And according to Teddy's web page, Daddy did not bother getting his citizenship for 48 years after coming here.  He became a citizen in 2005--about the time Teddy decided to get into politics.  And how did Daddy manage to leave the US and go to Canada to work for 5+ years?  How did he gain re-entry to the US?  Lots of questions, not many answers.  But Ted lives in his own reality anyway.  He even had the audacity to claim that Chuck Hagel was guilty of treason and that Kerry and Hagel. He also claimed that Hagel and Kerry did not hold the military in high regard.  Really?  Hagel was enlisted on Vietnam and Kerry was in Swift Boats.  And I believe that both men have Purple Hearts.  This from a worm that has never served in any branch of the military and probably could not identify the uniform of any of the branches of our military.  Disgusting.
