IRS

I'm getting really ticked off about the targeting of the IRS.  They were just doing their jobs.  These organizations were applying for non-profit status and listing themselves as "social welfare"groups, but were in fact political action groups very involved in politics.  This is not the definition of non-profit.  And the IRS is tasked with deciding if these groups do get tax exempt status.  Congress wrote those laws.  Congress tasked the IRS with this very thing..  Now Congress is beating them up for doing their jobs.  Hello! Give those agents a medal for this.  I hope they turn the tables on those suing them personally.  I would.  I would counter sue for defamation of character, libel and anything else I could think of.  These nuts need a  dose of their own medicine.

Biodiversity

The UN has come out with a report that we are fast losing biodiversity.  The report says that there are 30,000 edible plants and that agriculture concentrates 95% on rice, corn, wheat, millet, sorghum, and soybeans.  There are more than 30,000 edible plants in the world.  There are literally millions.  However, we have sat back and allowed big agriculture to take over our most essential function-feeding ourselves.  Just take a look at all the manicured lawns and the water and artificial fertilizer used to keep them green with grass that does not even belong in the climate.  Here in Texas, St. Augustine is the grass of choice.  When given enough water and nutrients, it looks like a green carpet.  Not a dandelion in sight.  God forbid a wildflower should grow in that sea of green.  And the sprinklers and lawnmowers go.  Water one day, mow the next.  To add to this loss of plant diversity, 22% of our livestock is becoming extinct.  What will this mean for humans.  Loss of nutrition.  Like it or not, you can't live on corn, wheat and rice.  Until people wake up and realize that they have to take charge of their diets, we will continue to see health problems.  The pols don't care as long as big agriculture continues to give the kick-backs.  Many in our own Congress are large farm owners and suck up those farm subsidies.  Seems to me we should be paying the individuals with these large laws money to grow their own food.  We should be supporting the small farmer and dairy farmer.  We have to get corporate out of our food chain and the only way to do this is with community farming.  We will all be healthier for it.

Welfare

It is damn time that the welfare system was overhauled and brought in line.  We have 4th and 5th generations who have all lived off the taxpayer in public housing.  Every one who received assistance should be cut off after 1 year.  No one should receive benefits for more than one child.  And those living in public housing should have to pass a drug test every month.  If they fail, kick them out. And they should have to pay rent.  I don't care if it is $5/month, they should be forced to pay something.  There is a disgrace in people leeching off the hard working taxpayer.  Many taxpayers do not live in homes as nice as those thieves.  I know people living in really run down trailers and working and paying their taxes.  They can never hope to have a really nice home.  But they don't complain and they have too much pride to milk the government.  As the saying goes, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach that man to fish and he will eat forever."  We have allowed a class of citizens and non-citizens who leech off those paying their taxes and they feel it is their due to receive all this free.  They are rude, obnoxious.  Their kids are lazy and worthless.  I had one teacher tell me that one of the middle school girls came to school one day and would not stop crying.  She kept asking what was wrong and she would not answer.  Another girl told the teacher, "Oh, she got bred last night."  Her mother had allowed her to be raped so she could get pregnant and ergo another mouth and another raise in food stamps, wic, tanif and God knows what else.  But do you think the politicians care?  Hell no.

I personally know of a woman who had 6 kids on welfare, drove a Cadillac, lived in a new double wide, and had an impressive stock portfolio.  I couldn't do this on my salary, but she did it on my taxes and no one ever checks into who is getting welfare.  We have a right to have this system held to very strict guidelines and to assure that it is temporary and that no one if making money off the taxpayer.  It is time that the rights of the taxpayer is recognized.

Immigration

It looks for all the world as if the Congress is going to grant amnesty again.  So we will give these criminals citizenship.  They will milk us dry and others will just keep coming.  We are doomed.  And no one in congress seems to be in touch with the country.  The schools here where I live do nothing but teach to the non-English speaking illegals.  My tax dollars is educating Mexico.  It just burns me up.  I can't go to the ER for free.  I can't get my food paid for by the taxpayer.  I can't not pay income tax.  Seems to me that the illegals have it a hellava lot better than the citizens.  We are not allowed to ask their status.  We are not allowed to demand papers. I can tell you that every University in Texas has on their payrolls illegals.  I would   bet that if you checked, every restaurant in every town in Texas has illegals on the payroll.  And not one damn politician cares.  Not a one of them are outraged that they are here stealing from the taxpayers.  I think that congress should have to pick up the tab for these criminals out of their salaries.  Seems fair to me.  I am so disgusted with our congress right now that it would not bother me if not a one of them was reelected.  I do feel that we the people should have the right to decide how much money they make and whether or not they get benefits and what they get.  I want to see them live on minimum wage with no health insurance.

The citizens are screwed.

It looks like the worthless congress is going to pat the criminals on the ass and make them citizens.  We just went through a bombing in Boston carried out by so called political refugees.  Refugees my ass.  They were here looking for what they could get from us.  They did not have any desire to be citizens of the United States.  And the one that got shot by the FBI, another so called political refugee.  We need a Congress that works for the citizens and we have not had that in decades.  And I don't see it happening in the near nor the distant future.  And the kicker is that the people will just sit back and allow them to screw us over.  This could all be stopped it the citizens would just stand up and demand that it be stopped.  But it won't happen.  Citizenship in this country is a joke.  Those who work and support the country are not just walked on, they are trampled on.  Here is my fix:  Fire all of our congress.  Hire congressmen and senators from a third world country and revoke their work permit when we get pissed.  Also, they will work for less money and no benefits.  And we can post the offices of President and Vice-President on eBay and use the proceeds of the auction to pay down the national debt. Sounds fair to me.  It can't be any worse.  I am so disgusted with this congress.  Every one of them needs to have to work for minimum wage with no medical insurance and only social security for retirement.  If this happened, we would see national medicine and a thriving social security system in no time.  Jut as if men could get pregnant, then abortion would be drive thru.

More on immigration

Kenneth Palinkas of the National Citizenship and Immigration Council is gearing up to fight the immigration bill to grant amnesty to the illegals.  Also, the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council is joining this fight.  These are the agents who have to handle this bull.  These are the agents who see first hand what is happening to our country.  Everyone needs to get behind them.  Write or call your congressman and senators.  This is too critical for Americans to just sit back and let happen.  They do this to us about every 27 years with promises that after all these criminals become citizens, then they will clean up the immigration mess.  It didn't happen in 1986 and it won't happen now.  Both parties are only looking for votes and don't give a tinkers damn about the citizens nor the law of the land.  Time to hold their feet to the fire.  These agents are not elected and have to put up with the stupidity of Congress.  They are our front line soldiers on illegal immigration.  Back them up.  Don't forget, Reagan and the Republicans gave us the first bomber of the World Trade Center.  He was made a citizen in 1986.  Then he rewarded us by trying to kill lots of Americans.  The Republicans gave us the Boston bombers.  They came to this country under Bush.  I am not saying the Dems are innocent.  What I am saying is that it is time the people took back our country.  These agents are trying.  Let's give them lots of help.

Oklahoma tornados

My heart goes out to all those people in Oklahoma.  I cannot even imagine what the parents of those 9 children who died are going through.  Losing a child has to be the very worst thing that can happen to you.  If anyone wants to donate, find a church or a local group and donate to them.  I am sure there is a food bank there.  Don't give money to the so-called charities.  It never reaches the victims.  Just ask anyone involved in Katrina.  Enough money was raised for Katrina victims to rebuild 5 New Orleans' and no one knows where it went.  No one was held accountable for it.  It just vanished.  So, no don't send money.  Pick a person's name from the reports and send them a money order.  Or, like I said, find a church that is collecting goods for them.  The organized charities are a joke.  They are a legal way (set up by Congress) to make money and not pay taxes on it.  Try getting help sometime.  You won't find that help.  My dad told me if I ever gave to the Red Cross, he would come back and box my ears.  When he was in the Navy in World War11, them came back from a mission and the Red Cross was set up at the dock, selling donuts and coffee.  These men had just come from hell and this wonderful charity was going to sell them coffee and donuts.  All these organized charities suck.  They are just a tax dodge.  Oh  and by the way, I hope everyone saw the news article about the Oklahoma senator demanding that if federal aid was given to Oklahoma, then it had to be offset by reductions in the budget.  Great man.  I would bet you dollars to donuts that fool has never had anything bad happen to him.  Let's hope that Karma comes up and kicks the crap out of him. But on a sad note, Oklahomans will probably just vote him back into office.

Same Sex relationship

I finally read about the prosecution of the 18 year old female senior in Florida who is being prosecuted for a same-sex relatinship with a 14 year old girl.  And I am seeing so many screaming discrimination because it is a lesbian relationship and how the only reason this is being prosecuted is because of that.  I am a mother.  I don't care if that 18 year old is God himself, I would have probably beaten the beJesus out of her and I would be in jail.  I applaud the parents of the 14 year old.  Yes, this 18 year old should be prosecuted.  She took advantage of a child.  And if her parents did not tell her of the consequences, then they have failed her terribly.  I have no problem with same-sex relationships.  That is not the problem here.  The posts on the boards says that this relationship has been going on for over a year.  That means this child was 12 or 13 when this started.  Unlike her parents, I would not have waited this long.  I would have gone to the police immediately.  In Texas, if the older teen is 2 years older than the younger teen, then it is statutory rape.  It is wrong no matter how you look at it and the prosecutor is right to prosecute this care.  The girl should have thought about it before she got involved with the 14 year old.  And yes the 18 yr old will be labeled a sex offender.  That is the breaks. Bottom line, she should not have done it.  There are consequences and it is time people started taking responsibility for their actions.

Taxes

I am really tired of hearing how the 1% pays so much in taxes and how the rest of us are on government dole.  I have never taken any help from the government.  I could not have gotten it even if I had applied.  And I am sick of hearing how we do not pay our fair share of taxes.  I just got my house phone bill.  I have $23 in taxes and fees.  I got my cell phone bill.  I pay around the same in taxes and fees.  So of that bill, I pay around $45 in taxes and fees.  Why?  I really am tired of being taxed on everything.  If I gamble and lose, I cannot deduct the loss.  But if I win, I have to pay taxes on the win.  There is no way that the working class can ever get ahead.  We are the ones supporting the country and we are the ones getting kicked.  Someone please tell me why a person investing in the stockmarket and making money is any different than me making money at a job.  I think everything should be taxed as earned income.  It is ridiculous to allow those who have money to get away with calling this dividends.  And getting a tax break.  If this is legal, then I should be able to save my money in a savings account and treat my interest as dividends.  I should only have to pay taxes on that money when I withdraw it.  Doesn't work that way.  You pay taxes on the interest on your savings even if it is not withdrawn.  And Congress wonders why the average American does not save more.  We can't afford to.  It costs us too much at the end of the year.  And we don't have access to those offshore accounts that Romney took advantage of.  I would also like to know how he amassed $100,000 in and IRA.  I don't think it is possible nor does it seem legal.  I have been reading different ideas on how this was accomplished and no one seems to be able to explain it.  At any rate, the rich play by a different set of rules and laws than does the lowly taxpayer.  The deck is definitely stacked against us.

Politics

I guess I can see the logic the Republicans have obviously attached to this mess with the IRS.  However, I am still of the opinion that this is what the IRS is supposed to do.  They are supposed to monitor the non-profits because they are responsible for assigning the non-profit status and giving the entity a tax exempt status.  I would bet you dollars to donuts that if they had failed in this and one of those non-profits were funding a terrorist cell planning an attack within the Unites States then all hell would have broken lose.  The IRS is not one of my favorite agencies but let's face it, they do the bidding of congress.  Congress writes the tax laws and the IRS is taxed with enforcing them.  Their agents get shot at, run over, blown up.  I would not want to work for the IRS.  It is a thankless job and when Congress, either party, gets their panties in a wad, then you can kiss your career goodby.  My stepson went into a law enforcement agency for the federal government back in the 90's.  When he reported for duty, he had bullet holes in his window.  He was told, "Oh yeah, everyone confuses us with the IRS. They're across the street."  My take on this:  The IRS was trying to put a stop to money laundering that is being spent to influence our elections.  The only reason that anyone in Congress is upset is because it was the Republicans that got hit.  There should be no non-profits with any meddling in politics.  Give the agents a bonus for their attempts to control this.  But, no, Congress does not like someone doing their jog.  They want to be able to steal the elections.  There should be no secret organizations, no lobbists.  This should all be illegal.  But we don't have a Congress that has the integrity to do what is right for the country.  They are all interested only in themselves and acquiring money and power.  Damn the country.  Where is Eisenhower or Johnson when you need them.

IRS mess

Maybe the IRS did get a little zealous in their scrutiny of the non-profits.  However, it is their job to scrutinize those non-profits.  Non-profits are not, by law, to be involved in politics.  They are to be apolitical.  They are not to engage in backing any one candidate.  I personally think that they could use a lot more oversight.  I think that anytime a church or religious organization dabbles in politics, they should lose their non-profit status.  Non-profits are a scam anyway.  The money they collect does not get used for what it is intended.

UNICEF:CEO makes $1.2million plus use of a Rolls Royce for his exclusive use.  Expense account of $150,000.  Amount going to stated cause-14 cents per dollar.

Red Cross: in 2009, CEO paid $651,957 plus expenses, 6 weeks paid vacation plus paid holidays, 100% medical and dental.  Amount of every dollar collected going to the cause-39 cents.

United Way $375,000, lifetime memberships in two golf clubs, 3 company god credit cards.  Amount of every dollar that goes to the cause-51 cents.

Salvation Army, commander's salary $13,000 plus housing.  Amount of every dollar spent on the cause-93 cents.

Goodwill.  Goodwill has no cause.  It's CEO makes $2.3 million.  It gives no money to any cause.  It claims to train people for the workplace.  It pays minimum wage or below.  Worst of the bunch.

Salvation Army is the only one of these charities that does the job it is supposed to do.

I could not find any info on the political non-profits.

Immigration lies

So now we are going to grant amnesty again.  We just let any and all pour into our country.  Then when we get around 10-20million, we(meaning our politicians) decide that there is no way to deport them all  so we will just give them citizenship.  Never mind that the citizens are so against this.  Never mind that the first bomber of the World Trade Center in 1993 was a part of the first amnesty.  Never mind that the Boston bombers just walked into our country.  The claimed refugee status.  Yeah right.  So, just like the locusts, every 27 years we will grant citizenship to those who have rubbed our noses in the sewage.  They will then be able to get the benefits they have been stealing for free.  We are already educating Mexico.  Here in Texas where I live, there are very few schools that are teaching citizens.  Teachers have to be bi-lingual.  Our schools taxes are going to educate non citizens.  This just burns me up.  Ever try to get into an Emergency Room?  The wait is hours because they are full of illegals. I want to see this amnesty bill put on the ballot and the people allowed to vote on it.  Bet we will see that the country does not want this.  Politicians disgust me.

Citizenship

I feel that citizenship in my country, the United States of America, should be special.  It is a great honor being a citizen of a democracy.  I am reading where some don't consider us a democracy anymore.  We are out of kelter.  When only a fraction of the registered voters turn out, that is a shame.  Let me tell you what I think citizenship is, the benefits and responsibilities of citizenship.

Citizenship gives you the right to criticize the government.  It gives you the right to live anywhere in this country that you choose to live.  It gives you the freedom of and the freedom from religion.  It gives you the right to live in peace.  It gives you the opportunity to move up in the world, although that has gotten harder to do because of our politicians.  And very importantly, it gives you the right to vote for the politician of your choice.  It gives you a say in your government.

In exchange for these freedoms, there comes responsibility.  Each and every citizen is responsible for every soldier that was sent to war and either died or came back damaged and all who came back are damaged.  Every citizen must accept the responsibility of carrying these men and women on their shoulders because every citizen sent them to war.  Every citizen must also carry on their shoulders the genocide committed against the Indians by the government.  And this was genocide. We are responsible.  Every citizen is responsible for holding their politicians accountable for the things they do.  Not enough of this is done.  And every citizen is responsible for seeing to it that every other citizen's rights are guaranteed.  That no one group of people are denied their rights.  That is a responsibility and we should accept it gladly.  Every citizen must be on guard to keep any politician from turning us into a dictatorship in the guise of "protecting us."  Government cannot protect all the citizens.  Citizens must take the responsibility for their safety on their own shoulders.  And above all, never ever give up our guns.  I don't think the recent immigrants nor the illegals feel any of this.  They see us as something to be used and dictated to.  To milk the benefits and kick us in the teeth.  But we have these responsibilities to each other.  If we don't protect our freedoms, we will lose them. Those freedoms did not come free as some seem to think.  They were bought and paid for in blood.  They are our national treasures and we must guard them fiercely for those who paid for them.  We have to hold them dear for those who can't.

A few words for the Politicians

Our Politicians live in a bubble and nothing in the real world affects them.  So I have a little advice for them.  Gun control.  Put it on the ballot and lets see that so called 90% vote for it.  Won't happen.
Immigration.  Again, put it on the ballot.  I will bet that they will not find near enough people for this stupid idea of granting citizenship to fill a teacup let alone pass the bill.

These same politicians wanting to grant citizenship to millions of criminals are the same ones that gave us the Boston bombers.  That family should never have gained admittance to the United States let along citizenship. I am also wondering how someone with a green card got a US passport.  Apparently that did happen because the older of the two bombers traveled to Russia on his American passport and traveled back on the same passport.  He was charged with domestic violence.  That should have gotten him deported.  I don't think our politicians would deport Hitler if he was here organizing terrorists.  Take a look at where the terrorist that have hit us are from.  And how many had stood in line and come here the right way?  None.  No one in this family had had to stand in line to get here.  All they had to do was claim refugee status and we fell all over ourselves giving them citizenship, setting them up on welfare and doing everything for them except wiping their butts and we probably paid for that as well.  So, yeah, give the voters shot at immigration.  That 90% wanting to grant citizenship to any and all will magically disappear.  That would be one heck of a turnout as well.  This citizen is tired of seeing my country made the laughing stock of the world.  Time we took it back.
