Obama's promises

This is for Sandi.  Obama cannot create jobs.  When Obama was campaigning, he was campaigning on a stable economy.  No one knew what a mess we has.  This was kept very quiet by the Bush administration.  However, it came tumbling down before he left office.  Obama inherited that mess.  Yes, he created the stimulus package to try to get the economy going.  But he can't force the businesses to hire.  He can't create jobs.  We really need something like the WPA or the CCC, but that will never happen because the Republicans will never allow it.  I would say that with what Obama walked into, he has done a pretty good job. 

Idiots in Washington

I've been following the mess in Washington on the debt ceiling.  Is anyone besides me really irritated by the fact that the Republicans are puppets for a private citizen named Grover Norquist?  Why is the news media not exposing this mess for what it it.  Our country is being held hostage by someone who has never worked in his life, is not nor has he ever been an elected official and has ties to Islamic Extremists.  No one in government nor in the media seems to care.  No one seems to be at all upset that this wannabe dictator is holding our country hostage to get what he wants.  And make no mistake, the Republicans are going to give him what he wants.  Google Grover Norquist.  Then google the Republicans that have signed his pledge.  They are putting that pledge above their Constitutional duties.  It is getting really scary.  Shades of Hitler.
