Chris Hedges puts it much more factually than I ever could.  He also points out that movement is funded by some of the biggest millionaires and billionaires in this country.  As to the followers, it is Communism cloaked in Christianity.  And it is really scary.

Research on Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz touts himself as an outsider in Washington.  This is an out and out lie.  His wife served in Duybya's administration.  He served in Dubya's administration.  His wife is vice president of Goldman Sachs.  Yep.  The same company that almost destroyed the world banking system and our country.  The same company that the taxpayer was forced to bail out.  The same company that paid their executives huge salaries while the taxpayer was losing money on that same bail out.  And Ted being married to the missus, benefited greatly from that taxpayer bail out.  Jut google Heidi Cruz and you will get an eyefull.  She is so insider that she practically sleeps with all of Washington beltway.  And maybe she does.  I would imagine she would love to sit in the White House as first lady.  She and Ted are a real insider couple.  And if you think Ted gives a tinkers damn about Texas or the United States then I am selling ocean front property in West Texas.  Ted Cruz and wife care only about Ted Cruz and wife.  And Texas is too stupid to see this.  Maybe it is time to leave Texas

Describing the Cruz's and others

I have just read an article explaining Ted Cruz and his father and their fundamentalist ideals.  They were described as Christian Reconstructionsts.   As this was described and as I saw in watching Raphael Cruz's videos on YouTube, what they are advocating is that the government be taken over by a "selected few" Christians.  The Constitution will be replaced by this Christian doctrine.  This Christian doctrine will force their beliefs onto the rest of the country.  This sounds a great deal like Communism to me.  Seems Cruz Sr still harbors his love of Castro and his beliefs.  These people scare the beJesus out of me.  I grew up around this kind of people and their mantra is "do as I say, not as I do.  I am right and I speak for God and you will believe."  And Ted Cruz is a real piece of work.  He cares nothing for the fact that he almost destroyed the world economy.  He cares nothing for what he did to the military.  He cares nothing for what he would have done to the working people.  He cares nothing about anything except what Ted Cruz wants.  He does not live in the real world nor does he want to.  This is what Texas has produced.  This is what has control of Texas.  We used to be a state with limited state government.  They met in Austin, took care of business, and went home.  They didn't meddle into our lives.  We were allowed to do pretty much what we wanted provided we stayed within the law.  Now we have the state government looking down our necks at every turn.  I want my state back.

Dirty game of politics

I guess I had not realized just how dirty politicians are and really how much they out and out lie.  What I have found on the shutdown:  John Boehner, Pete Sessions (TX), and Eric Cantor held a closed door meeting before the shutdown and chanced the House rules.  Originally, a bill could be brought up to vote by any member of the House.  Well not any more.  These three, for wont of a better word, turds, changed those rules and now only the Speaker can bring a bill to vote.  Ergo assuring a shutdown.  And this may have only been about the ACA with the Tea Turds, but with the politicians, it was an attempt to totally destroy the Presidency.  If President Obama had given in, then this would have been used with every president after Obama.  It was quite literally an attempt to take over the government.  And Ted Cruz was just stupid enough to start the ball rolling for them.  The tea party is not satisfied with being a part of the government.  Their goal is to totally control the government in all aspects. Do you remember the Politburo of the old Solviet Union?  This is what the tea party envisions with them in control.  And the scary part is that the voters in this country are too lazy to stop them.  And Ted Cruz sees himself at the head of this Politburo.  Ted Cruz is a cunning, mean communist and he hides it well.  He is only concerned with himself and what he can steal from the citizens of the United States.  He has no compassion.  He has no empathy.  And he damn sure does not have any respect for the troops.  Anyone who would liken his stupid talks to the Bataan Death March should be forced to clean all the barracks in this country with a toothbrush.
