New stimulus package

The republicans are passing a new stimulus package for over $1trillion.  In it, there will be deminished unemployment benefits.  People are really hurting and the republicans are being stingy, but there will be more money handed to corporations and big business.  Just the working taxpayers will not be taken care of.  Never mind that we are the ones supporting this country.  We are the ones paying the taxes. And yet we deserve nothing.  We are expendable.  I have often wondered what the underbelly of the country, ie the rich, the bought politicians, the corporations, will do when there are no more working taxpayers, when the jobs have disappeared, when millions become homeless.  Exactly how do they expect the country to continue to function?  And I am very afraid we are about to find out. 

If I am one of those that become homeless, I will pitch a tent in the middle of the street in front of the capitol building in Austin.  If they kick me off there, I will move to a state park and pitch that tent.  They can't kick out millions of people.  And it will be a domino effect.  First those with no jobs and no way to pay rent and utilities will be made homeless.  Then there will be more layoffs because no one is buying the goods.  Then it will progress to city and country government because there is no money coming in to support the local government.  Then it will progress to the state government and right on up to federal government.  And as people starve on the streets, the rich will find that their money does not help them.  There will be no infrastructure to support their properties.  No utilities, no transportation, Then they will begin to understand how the economy has to work.  But by then it will be too late and we will be  in a severe depression with no way out.  And the  young people coming of age now are really getting screwed.  It is a sad situation when your own government doesn't give a damn about you because you have no money to buy your own politician.  It is shameful.  Very shameful. 

The demise of democracy in the United States

Watching what is happening in my country is truly alarming.  Anytime a president overrides state, city and county government to send in unknown jackboots to snatch people off the streets is really scary.  They are not identified.  They wear Army fatigues with a generic "police" patch, no name tags with their faces covered and driving unmarked cars.  This is tactics that Hitler used against the Jews.  It is tactics that were used in Argentina during the cruel dictator years. Over 30,000 people were disappeared and killed.  And this is what will happen here if Trump is not stopped.  He has turned the justice department into his own personal police force.  He tried with the military and the Pentagon pushed back.  And these agents, whatever agency they are with, have the sworn duty to refuse illegal orders and they are not doing so.  That is the scary part.  Trump is testing the waters to stage a coup and take over the country and appoint himself dictator and the republicans are just letting him do it.  Mitch McConnell could have long ago stopped him.  McConnell, I think, is on the payroll of China.  Think about it.  McConnell's wife's family owns a huge shipping company and their ships are built in China with funding from the Chinese government.  And his wife is secretary of transportation.  And now Trump is sending thugs into cities to subdue citizens and ignoring the local government.  It may come down to the local police fighting the federal agents to protect local citizens.  If that happens, I dearly hope the states join together and use the full power of their law enforcement agencies to put a stop to this. And I'm taking up voovoo and sticking pins in Trump, Pence, and McConnell.  It might help and it can't hurt.  I am really scared for my country right now.  Those warning of a government take over and stockpiling guns may, God forbid, be proven right. 

The long game.

With grifters, they play the short game, or the rip-off to make a small amount of money several times over to finance the long game which will net them a huge amount of money.  Well that is what the republicans have been doing for 50 years.  Playing the short game and upping the anti on every short game and the goal was to bankrupt the United States in favor of the rich, leaving nothing for the working taxpayer.  It took a pandemic and over 300,000 dead for people to start to see what was happening.  And you still have a huge part of the white south that will follow that republican party straight into hell and thank them for taking them there.  And if there are no blacks in hell, that is even better. 

The mind of the white southerner has been so poisoned that if you are not a right wing conservative, you are not a citizen.  If you think for yourself, you are stupid.  If you don't vote republican, you are ostracized.  It breaks up families.  There is no civility left.  There is nothing but hatred.  And people have bought into the stupid so long and so deep, that they won't even do what is in their best interests.  Well the republican have won the long game, but it has cost them dearly.  They are losing and they are no longer believed.  Only the blindly stupid still follow what they are feeding them.  People have seen that the republicans will just leave them to die and have no qualms about doing it and bitch because they are not working.  How dare they die.  Now they have to find new workers. We really have an old English way of landed gentry, ie the rich, and the peons and the landed gentry want to keep the peons slaves.  So they need to keep them dumb and uneducated so that they will do as told.  We are in a world of hurt. 

The long game.

Back in the day before the Civil Rights Act, it was the democrats that were totally corrupt.  The democrat machine was run by Mayor Daily in Chicago until the 1970's.  The white southern Democrats switched parties after the Civil Rights Act was passed.  What is running the republican party now is the Dixiecrats.  Under the Democrats in the south,  When it was the Democrats running things in the South, they ran the long game by selling the rank and file dems that the republicans were bad for their way of life.  That they would give blacks more power.  That they would take all their rights away.  And the Southern whites bought it.  Then the democratic party could not stop Johnson from passing the Civil Rights Act, so those ultra conservative democrats jumped ship and joined the Republican party.  And they handed out the same lies as they had used while democrats except now they doubled down.  They painted the right to work laws as good for workers instead of union busting laws.  They convinced the whites in the South that Unions were bad.  This even though the unions had come into being in the coal mines of West Virginia and the whites that went to Detroit to work for the auto industry fully benefited from union membership.  Then they convinced whites that the democrats would take away their right to worship and would take away their guns.  The Dixiecrats, now in the republican party did a bang up job of brainwashing the southern white and convincing them that the democratic party was the party of the devil.  So thorough was that brainwashing that today southern whites will hate you with a frothing at the mouth hatred if you are a democrat.  The Dixiecrats played the long game as the grifters they are and it worked.  That is until the pandemic laid bare that the present republican party is in it to force the working class whites in the South to carry the welfare rich on their backs and that there is no help for the working class.  They are finally seeing that the government under the republicans have become the government of the rich, by the rich, for the rich.  When the stimulus package was exposed for what it was, that was the turning point.  And when Trump made it very plain that lives did not matter to him unless you were of the rich.  If you were a working person, your job was to go to work and if you died, you just died.  But it was your job to go out and make money for the rich. 

More on the cares act

USAToday did an excellent article laying out the companies that got taxdollars free.  There were over 660,000 companies.  And no help for the working people.  None.  Also, those that catch this virus, if they can get medical care, and survive, will be facing unpayable medical costs.  If you think those hospitals will treat you free, then I am selling ocean front property in Yuma, Ariazona. 

I really, really hate republican and have not much respect for the democrats either.  Both damn parties are of the rich, for the rich, by the rich and screw the working citizens.  What we have become is shameful.  Very shameful.  And I don't see any change coming.  Not really.  I think every person in this country should be ashamed of what we are handing to our children and grandchildren.  I hope the young people stage a revolt and take back the country and kick all this corruption to the curb.  I am beyond disgusted.

Working citizens a one time payment of $1200 and McConnell did not want to give that.  And the extra $600 a week on unemployment, he is stopping that.  Workers are not returning to work.  Hell no.  A lot of those jobs are gone and why would anyone want to put their lives on the line for $8/hr, no medical at all.  But we are the slaves and we are supposed to put ourselves out there and die so our employer can make more money.  Then they will bitch because you left them in a bind and they have to find more slaves.  And McConnell and all the rest of the elite welfare class hide from this virus like hiding from a wife when she has caught you cheating.  Because they deserve to live and we do not.  And a lot of those companies took the money and still let their workers go.

Steve Mnuchin's country club.  And exclusive country club in California owned by a Japanese businessman.  Yep we are subsidizing foreign businesses.

President Trump's son-in-law family businesses.  They netted loans, forgivable loans,, for three of their businesses.

Full House Resorts, a Nevada-based company run by Lee's husband Daniel, received two loans totaling $5.6 million, following a change that the congresswoman had pushed for in the program's regulations to include gaming operations.
