Medical profession

The damn doctors have destroyed my peace of mind, almost killed me and they want to blame me.  I am so damn mad now.  If I could hog tie and skin every one of them alive I would do so.  They are nothing but pill pushers and they get paid by big pharma to push those pills and they don't give a damn what they do to their patients.  Angry, furious, does not even begin to describe what I am feeling.  Betrayed, really betrayed. 

The medical profession

Doctors need to be held accountable.  They need to be held accountable when they cause a patient's death, a patient's dependency on pills.  Here is what has happened to me.  1997, August, my husband passed away after a long illness.  For 10 years, I took care of him, raised 3 kids and worked a 60 hour workweek.  Within one week of his passing, my doctor put me on blood pressure meds.  I trusted him.  He had taken good care of my husband.  So I am put on something called Ziac.  This is a combination of a beta blocker and a thiazide.  In 2003, my hands began itching and swelling and breaking open and bleeding.  I went to the doctor.  It is an allergy to newsprint.  He sent me to someone who was supposed to be a dermatologist.  He was an MD and Scott and White needed a dermatologist so he was tagged.  He did nothing for me.  And in the meantime, my arms, legs and face broke out in bloody, pus covered skin.  I looked horrible.  I would not have been allowed on a plane.  They would have called CDC on me.  This went on from 2003 through 2012.  I retired from my job in 2007.  My condition did not improve.  Then in 2012, I made a trip to my son's home in Denver.  I could not walk across the room.  My feet and legs were very swollen.  When I got home, I called the doctor's office.  I thought I was going into congestive heart failure.  It was the damn blood pressure med.  No one bothered to check the symptoms in all those years.  I was on it for 12 years.  So I got off it and I felt great.  Well, in 2013, I let this doctor, a different one to who put me on the meds in the first place, talk me into taking another blood pressure med.  He assured me it was nothing like what I had taken.  I started it in December 2013.  By January 2014, I was in a worse mess than the first time.  In March, I went back to the doctor.  The first words out of his mouth when he walked into the room were "Oh, you really can't take that medicine."  The bastard had put me back on the same damn thing that had almost killed me once.  I got off, but this time it had made me pre-diabetic and I have never recovered from it.  I will be seeing my doctor tomorrow to get on insulin shots because now, because of all the blood pressure meds, I am full on diabetic.

Then on the left we have the ones living in a bubble without a clue how the economy works.  They don't want to work and they want everything free.  Free college, free medical care, just free.  Of course there was some vague statements about paying "more" taxes to offset the cost of this.  Oh, and we give all this to the illegal foreign nationals as well.  So we have the pie in the sky, not in reality left.  We are screwed.  And if Sanders gets the nomination, we are really screwed.  He is Trump light.  He sits on his throne and rails about the top 1% when he is part of that 1%.  I don't see him giving up his millions.  And don't ask him about his money.  It really pisses him off.  So it is do as I say, not as I do.  And that is with both Trump and Sanders.  And Bloomberg.  Screw the process, he will just buy his way into the White House and why not.  Every politician is owned by big business and the millionaires and billionaires. At this point, I would welcome Nixon back into the White House.  He could not hold a candle to this new Mafia and that is what we have, a new Mafia stealing us blind.  And the voting public ignores it as long as they get what they want.  Seems I remember the Venezuelans being so complacent under Hugo Chavez.  So much so they let him declare himself president for life, then chose his successor.  And now that their president for life has a stranglehold on the country, they run.  And that will be us in a very short time. 

This is it

This is what I am very afraid will happen.  I am very afraid the democrats will screw around and let Trump win the election thus giving us 4 more years of hell.  I had hoped when he was elected that he would respect the Constitution and our government.  He has no respect.  None.  He is using our Constitution for toilet paper and the republicans are letting him do it.  Mitch McConnell should be very ashamed of himself, but you have to have some morals to fee shame.  He has no morals.  Neither does Trump.  And as I said yesterday, the voting public do not take their jobs seriously.  They have small, narrow minds that only see as far as their agenda.  Eliminate abortion, eliminate welfare, eliminate school lunches.  In other words, eliminate anything that would help the working and poor.  Every damn thing.  It seems the goal of the majority of the voters in this country are aligned with either turning the people not rich into serfs, or slaves.  That is the right.  They feel that they own the country and the rest of the citizens don't count.  Trump is in this group as is every republican.  Then we have the left and a lot of them are as far left as the far right.  And they are just as dangerous.  They want socialism.  They don't give a damn about the country unless they get their way.  Their way, just like the repugs, is the only way and if you don't agree with them, well then you are treated like scum.  And this group wants to take everything and spread it across the board.  They want to make everything free.  They haven't really explained how that is supposed to be paid for but Sanders and Cortez did say that a lot of businesses would have to be nationalized.  So on the one hand we have the "it is mine, you don't deserve to live, screw you" republicans on the right. 

Politics continued

We have a saying in the south.  Everyone knows you have crazy in the family.  They only want to know which side of the family it is on.  We don't hide crazy.  We march it right out on the front porch and give it a cocktail.  And that is what Biden is.  He is well known.  No surprises.  If we don't remove Trump now and he gets another 4 years, I don't think this fragile idea can survive that.  He is hands down the worst president we have ever had.  I never thought I would wish for Nixon, but I would so take him  over Trump.  Hell, I would take Dubya over Trump.  And with the exception of Mitt Romney, there is not one Republican in the senate with integrity.  None. I don't want to see my country collapse.  We have not come this close since the Civil War.  And when we do finally get Trump out of the White House, we will probably have to invite the British to burn it again to get rid of the stench.

On to politics

Our politics have gotten so polarized that we cannot see we all have a say  in this country.  The republicans' only goal is to block any legislation that will benefit anyone in the country except their rich friends.  In their minds, they own the country.  The rest of us don't count.  They are taking us back to the Gilded Age.  And the democrats can't get their heads out of their asses long enough to agree on what needs to be done.  Sanders, a communist masquerading as a democratic socialist who only uses the democratic party when it will benefit him.  He is all for turning us into a socialist dictatorship. Socialism, pure socialism cannot exist with our Constitution.  Not possible.  And Sanders history is one of adoration of dictators.  I will not vote for him.  And is followers are violent if you do not agree with them and he gives tacit approval for this violence.  Warren, I do like Warren.  She thinks things through.  She investigates and gets the facts.  But she is a woman and as much as it pains me to say this, the country won't elect a woman over Trump.  Mayor Pete.  No.  Just no.  The country has not reached the place where we will elect a gay man.  We just have not evolved that far.  Biden.  Biden is the only democrat that can get Trump out of the White House and the democrats are again putting their own agenda ahead of country.  Pick he candidate that can deliver.  And that is Biden.  It will take an old white man to take Trump out of the White House.  And Biden has all his skeletons right out there for all the world to see.  Kinda like the south with our dirty laundry.  We just hang it all out there on the line for everyone to see.

And by not applying that critical thinking and putting the well being of the country before anything else, before our personal agenda, our prejudices, our beliefs, our phobias, we do not do the job of taking good care of our country. 
This concept that our founding fathers gave us is fragile.  It must be safeguarded.  It can fail at any time.  It is a huge experiment and has worked fairly well up to now.  We had a lot of bumps, we have a nasty history regarding slavery and the slaughter of the Native American, but on a whole we have been evolving and improving.  We are not evolving and improving anymore and we have not been for 50 years.  And if the citizens do not realize their responsibility and step up and take care of this fragile form of government, we will lose it.  We are the greatest country in the world, but we are quickly losing that status.  We have horrible healthcare,  we have broken schools, we are at each other's throats, we push our own pea brained agenda and screw the other person if they do not support what I support.  We have become a nation of selfish, whining, brats.  We will sink as a nation of selfish, whining brats unless we wake the hell up and I don't see it happening.  We once led the world.  Now the world is wondering what in the hell happened to us.  I am wondering that too. 

Duties fof citizens

Our founding fathers set up our Constitution laying out how the government would work.  Each of the three branches of government would serve as a check on the others.  They set it up this way with the understanding that the citizens would do their duty and elect the best qualified for the jobs of representatives and the president.  Later on, senators were added to that election process.  And for this government to work, the citizens have to do their jobs. Their job is to vet those applying to run our government and make no mistake, it is a job application and they are submitting their resumes.  And in campaigning, they make tons of promises, many of which we know they can't make happen.  So, having handed us their resumes, it is our job to apply critical thinking to the hiring.  It is our job to research those candidates.  To delve into their past employment,not matter whether in the private sector or the government sector.  It is our job to delve into whom they have associated with, what deals they have made, who their closest allies are, whether they can represent the entire county or just their friends.  Whether they can put their personal beliefs aside and act on the beliefs and agendas of the country as a whole.  We, as a whole, cannot do that.  We cannot look objectively at a candidate and assess whether or not they will be good for the country and the reason we can't do that is we can't get past our own little agendas and we place more importance on our own little, meaningless agendas than we do on safe guarding the welfare of our country.  We all have a part to play and none of us are playing this part.  The voters either cannot wrap their minds around the fact that they and they alone are responsible for the well being of the counry. 

Mess we are in

I am so very afraid that the democrats will fool around and let Trump be reelected.  Biden is the only candidate that can beat Trump.  Sanders cannot.  Sanders has too checkered of a past.  Sanders backed the Iranians when they took our embassy personnel hostage in 1979.  He backed Casto, called him a man with vision and praised him for his take over of Cuba.  He was in like flint with Daniel Ortega.  He even invited him to Burlington, Vermont when he was mayor, ran up the Nicaraguan flag and played the protest songs in Spanish.  Sanders honeymooned in Russia and praised them for doing so much better than the United States. 
Mayor Pete-there is no way in hell that the voters will elect a gay man.  Not happening.  I have nothing against him or any other gays, but the country is just not going to elect him. 
Warren:  She is intelligent.  I think she would make a good president, but the country will not elect a woman.  Not yet. 
Even Paul Ryan, a republican, said that Biden was the only democrat that could beat Trump and also said that the democrats will not run him.  And I am so afraid he is right.  Sanders should not have even been allowed on the democrat ticket.  He has never been in the party.  He only participates when it is to his advantage. 
I am hoping against hope that the DNC will trot out their superdeligates and run Biden.  If they don't, Trump will be slimming our White House for 4 more years and if the repugs have their way, he will be our Maduro.
