Immigration and Trump

Everyone is trashing Trump for saying the obvious.  That we should not allow in the Muslims from Syria or anywhere else until we have  in place the tools to properly vet them.  It just makes sense to me.  The Muslim community will not police their own and they will not report the ones who are here to do harm.  So he makes a lot of sense to me. And I have a real problem with those who won't fight for their own country, but run and expect other countries to just open their borders and let them walk right in, demand housing, money, a job, a car.  They get what every other American gets--a chance.  Nothing more and nothing less.  Well, this is the way it should be, but those illegals and those claiming to be refugees get a lot more than a citizen every hoped for.  And we are told we should take them in and embrace them.  Not me.  If the situation was reversed, they would be killing us if we tried to move into their countries.  I can't muster a good give a damn.  In Europe, they are demanding better housing, good jobs, more money and they want it now.  They are not coming and asking "May I come into your country for my safety?" Nope.  They are demanding like it is their right.  And that is the way they see things too.  We build the country and they want to take it away from us rather than build their own country into what they want.  I'm all out of give a damn.

More shootings

The other day, we had a shooter killing people in Colorado at a Planned Parenthood center.  I really think he was goaded into this because of the hateful bile being spewed by our politicians. 
And today we have another shooting at a center for the mentally handicapped.  Why and what reason could anyone have for attacking  a facility administering to the most defenseless among us?  There has to be a back story here.  And of course, this brought more gun control rhetoric. You could pass laws making all guns illegal and confiscate all legal guns and that would not take the guns out of the hands of the killers.  We have too much of an open border.  We cannot control the flow of drugs into this country.  If guns were illegal, we would have the most violent border and the worst black market this country has ever seen.  I don't know what the answer is, but it is not banning guns.  Do you really think those in Chicago doing all the killing have obtained those guns legally and do you think they will surrender them?  Of course not.  Nor will they stop killing.  In those instances, the people in those neighborhoods will have to do the housecleaning because the white community simply cannot do it.  It would cause a bloodbath.  And those doing these shootings in California, don't know yet.  As to the PP shooter, he was obviously deranged.  Again, what do we do?  Do we label some crazy and not allow them  the same freedoms everyone else has?  How do we do that under our Constitution?  We can't.  Supposedly, background checks will stop them getting guns.  No, they won't.  Believe it or not, we already have a black market in guns just like we have a drug market. The guns are are bought and owned legally rarely get used in crimes.  The Sandy Hook shooter, yes, but then again he did not own any guns.  His mother did.  Also, I strongly believe that someone through the computer was controlling Lanz.  If he wanted to make a statement, why destroy his computer?  And why do such a thorough job?  I really believe someone put him up to it and was controlling him. 

Shooting at Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs

I lay this shooting and those killings at the feet of the rabid anti-abortionists.  They have been stirring this pot all year and they have finally gotten people killed.  We lost a real hero in that mess.  We lost an Iraqi war veteran.  After being shot, he went inside and tried to save the others.  And two small children are without a mother now because of this fool who just had to shoot up the place.  And the Republicans are very quiet about all this.  They have stirred that pot along with the other rabid so-called christians.  
And the kicker here is that they don't give a tinkers damn about the fetus.  It is all about using this furor to raise money.  And to control women.  Here where I live, since the stupid legislature passed a law that a woman had to have a vaginal sonogram before she could have an abortion, we have several sonogram clinics cropping up and are by appointment only.  The non-profit, 40 days for life, will not list their CEO, board members, amount raised and spent.  They will list nothing.  But they are suppose to be a Christian organization.  They are a terrorist group.  There will be more killings at these clinics.  They don't care that these women using these clinics are not necessarily having an abortion.  They don't care that these clinics offer pre-natal care, dispense vitamins, give pap smears, help with cancer screenings, give free contraceptives, and give well checkups for women who would not otherwise get them. They don't want women to have access to contraceptives.  They don't want women to have access to health care at all.  And they don't care about these fetuses either.  They won't put up any money to help a woman with the pregnancy, medical bills, support.  That is her problem.  And when that baby is born and the mother has to go on welfare, these very same "good Christians" are very busy trashing her for being a dead beat and on the taxpayer dole.  They don't give a tinkers damn if this woman dies, if this child dies.  They don't care.  All they are interested in is keeping that pot stirred because it fills their pockets.  Fighting abortion and controlling women is a very big monetary business.  Make no mistake, big bucks are being made off these poor women and off these dead bodies.  And our congress does not have the testicles to put a stop to it.  If you trolled the entire congress, you would not find one pair of balls among them. 

Need to correct a post

A few days ago, I posted that the working whites carried the country on their shoulders.  I apologize for that.  It is the working taxpayer and there are a lot of Hispanic citizens, black citizens that work and pay taxes and just scrape by.  And many are a part of the working poor.  Many are just making it, just like the poor whites.  Poor comes in all colors.  Poverty makes no race distinctions.  And I do know a lot of these people.  They are not the ones rioting.  They are not the ones demanding rights for illegals.  They are just trying to survive, to get their children raised and hope against hope that their children can have a better life than they have.  When they get sick, they don't go to the doctors.  They don't have the money.  They don't get dental care.  Their kids come first and they get that dental care for their kids.  They don't buy new clothes for themselves.  They buy their clothes at thrift shops.  And they work whatever jobs they can get and worry that they won't be able to keep a roof over their kids' heads and feed them.  And many live in deplorable conditions, but they keep their heads down and just plug away.  These people are the backbone of the country.  They are the ones who keep things going.  And yet, politicians cannot even see them.  It is very sad.  And they have pride and will not even apply for government assistance.  Many would not qualify because the bar is so low on income that as little as they make, it is too much for any aid for them. 

When I was working at the post office, I knew an older woman who got $257 a month on Social Security.  She qualified for $10 in food stamps.  She lived in the country and  her neighbor charged her $5 to bring her into town to the post office to get that $10 in food stamps.  Another clerk and I took turns going to get her on our lunch breaks and bringing her into town to get those food stamps.  And we would take her on weekends to get her groceries and many times supplemented her purchases.  This was a small town, mixed races and a lot of very poor people.  But they made it work.  I have tremendous respect for the working poor, no matter the ethnic origin nor the color of their skin.  We all bleed red. 

Our Border

Don't get me wrong.  I do not like our Governor in Texas.  Not at all.  However, I do agree with him on not taking in any Syrian refugees.  And I have valid arguments for my reasoning.  We have the longest border with Mexico and our government has ignored the mess that said border is for 40 years.  They have sat on their welfare rears in Washington and allowed any and all to just waltz into our country and steal us blind by allowing them to get government benefits.  They throw out the argument that illegals can't get benefits.  Well, a simple search of the government websites says otherwise.  The Texas WIC website specifically states that one does not have to be a citizen to collect Welfare Infant Care.  So, they come here, have their babies in our hospitals, leave the taxpayer with the bill and push up our medical costs to cover for this.  One hospital in Dallas delivers over 60,000 babies to illegals each year. 

Our schools are destroyed.  Our own citizens cannot get an education because we are required to teach these illegals in their own language, in Texas it is Spanish.  Any given school is more Hispanic than citizen.  The citizens who can afford it send their children to private school so that they will get and education.  Those who can't have to make time to do the teaching at home to supplement what the school cannot do.  And our faces are rubbed in it.  They love to tell us we can't send them back.  They are very arrogant about it. 

Now add to that the several hundred State Troopers we put on the border to assist the border patrol   We even pay for gun boats for our State Troopers to battle the cartels.  And the cost of all this comes out of the taxpayer's pockets.  Those illegals do not pay taxes.  They work under the table for cash.  They keep everything they make and screw us.  So no, we don't want any more to support.  We are tired of being taken advantage of.  And those in the north are always trashing us because we are so mean and will not accept these "poor souls that just want a better life for themselves."  They don't even come into contact with these illegals.  They live in their segregated communities and pass judgement on Texans.  They had better wake up and thank their lucky start for Texas.  We are the buffer zone between them and the illegals.  If we weren't here, then they would see up close and personal what we deal with daily.  Yankees are so dumb and bigoted. 

I think I have just lived too long

We are constantly being told that Islam is a peaceful religion and yet all the attacks in the past several years have been carried out by Islamics.  This does not equate a peaceful religion to me.  And seeing what is happening in the Middle East tells me that they do not want democracy.  The need someone to control them.  I don't want them settled in my country simply because I am tired of my tax dollars being spent on foreigners.  We get from the White House that all these 20 million illegals actually contribute to the economy.  And yet they cost the taxpayer several billion per year.  They have destroyed our medical infrastructure.  Our medical costs are so high to pay for the illegals that are using it free.  Our wages are depressed because they can hire illegals for less than minimum wage, pay them under the table, and the employer does not pay payroll taxes and the illegals do not pay income nor payroll taxes.  So we have to make up for that.  This taxpayer is tired of supporting the lazy of the world.  And supposedly these so-called refugees will have to be self-supporting within 1 year.  Well, the family of the Boston bombers were here 10 years and lived off the taxpayer the entire time.  So that tells me we are being lied to again.  I am tired of it.  We, the taxpayer, are forced to take care of the world.  We are not asked if we will do this.  Our politicians just take our checkbook and start writing checks. 

The Democrats are so busy destroying our country to make themselves look good to the illegals, the so called refugees, and the blacks who will never do anything to help themselves nor the country.  But hey they will jump on that bandwagon while the working poor do without, sometimes cannot put a roof over the heads of their family, cannot buy shoes for their children, cannot even scrape by.  But they don't count.  Why?  They are white.  Pure and simple.  They are white.  And it is the white community that carries the weight of this country on their overburdened shoulders.  The working white community.  Where do the Democrats and Republicans think they will get the money to fill those bank accounts when we no longer exist?  They won't get it from their rich friends.  They damn sure won't get it from the illegals because they keep all that they make and take more from those white taxpayers.  The Republicans are no better than the Democrats.  They are in Washington looking out for their rich friends.  The working white community has no friends in Washington.  And this taxpayer is fed up.  I am voting Trump.  I am voting Trump simply because we have no one else that would even consider taking care of their income producing segment of society.

Unrest in the world and our country

We have made our wishes known to all politicians.  We want the illegals deported and we do not want the Syrians settled here.  Neither group wants to be a part of this country.  They are only here for what they can get.  Now let's go to our own group of trash.  The black militants.  They are being funded by white billionaires.  They are the most bigoted and racist group that has existed since the civil rights movement.  That movement was supposed to integrate them into society and give them the chance to become productive members of society.  They don't want to be productive members of society.  They want all the freedoms and none of the responsibilities.  They are not interested in education, jobs, contributing to the well being of the country.  And before anyone points  a finger at me, I am not lumping all blacks into this group.  This is a minority of this group.  The majority are good. hard working people.  And, yes, I have been privileged to work with many of them.  But there are too many that live off the taxpayer and scream that they aren't getting enough handouts, that they aren't being allowed to loot and steal at will without consequences.  Witness what is happening on some of the campuses.  They aren't interested in an education.  They are interested in owning the schools, and those schools are supported by the taxpayer and not a one of these so called students pays taxes.  This is all from blacks who have been here for several generations and have lived off the taxpayer for several generations.  You don't see the blacks who immigrate from Africa with these ideas.  But you do see the Muslims with this very same idea--that they are owed.  I don't owe them a damn thing.

This mess we call humanity.

In light of what went down in Paris, I think it is time we took our security seriously and held our elected officials' feet to the proverbial fire.  Not a damn one of them in Washington is doing anything to protect the citizens of this country and we have Obama trying with all his might to throw open our borders and welcome any and all who want to come.  And come they do.  Just like rats.  And they produce like rats as well.  They do this because they can really draw down benefits with all those kids.  And Washington has no idea who is coming into our country.  Obama does not give a damn because he will not have to deal with them.  He will be protected with our tax money and the Secret Service.  I think it is time we stopped all the freebies for ex-presidents.  Time to save that money.  I don't want all those Syrians here.  I don't want all those Cubans here that are trying to cross our Southern border.  I don't want any of the refugees nor illegal aliens here.  Look back on the terrorist act over the past 40 years and you will note that most of them were carried out by Islamics.  They have countries.  They need to stay and rebuild their own countries.  If I sound heartless, so be it.  We have our own citizens to look out for and we are not doing that, from not taking care of our vets to ignoring the overburdened Child Protective Services.  And when those kids age out of the system, they are just put out on the street, no money, no skills, and very little education.  They certainly have no family support to fall back on.  And we just ignore these kids.  And the homeless children.  And the children whose parents work, but can't make enough to make ends meet.  They quite often go to bed hungry because their parents have to decide on rent or food.  And yet, that white man in the White House trying to prove he is black just does not give a tinkers damn.  And he has stirred the racial pot to the point of making it impossible for the police to do their jobs and has caused more racism in this country than we have seen since the Civil Rights Movement.  And is still causing it.  I would say that he should be ashamed, but he has no shame.  16 months and I am still voting for Trump.  Sad to say, but he is the best we have to chose from.  Every other politician running is for handing over the country to every illegal that wants to steal from us.

State of the country

I am continually amazed at the number of people who think it is perfectly alright for people to just come into our country and demand to be taken care of.  These people are refusing to follow our immigration policy.  They sneak into the country and have stated in surveys taken by the border patrol that they are coming here because of the free benefits they can get.  And yet, we still have a large segment of the population demanding that we not only let them stay, we give them free college and citizenship.  We can't even educate our own children and there is demand for us to educate and care for half the world.  They have countries.  But they have trashed their own countries so now they want what we have worked to build and they want it just given to them. 

All those pouring out of the Middle East into Europe, they aren't planning to assimilate.  What they are planning to do is show up, be given freebies like money, a house, and they demand a good job.  They are not coming for a chance at a better life.  They are coming and demanding they be given a better life. The have destroyed their own countries and now they will destroy Europe.  They are bringing their ways with them.  They refuse to see women doctors.  They refuse the food because it is not what they want.  They make demands.  There is no gratitude.  They feel they are entitled to just come and take what they want.  Same with the illegals in this country.  They feel that they can just come and take what they want.  Never mind that hundreds of years went into building what they want handed to them.  And the politicians just fall in lock step to meet their demands. 

The Democrats are the worst.  I cannot vote for a Democrat who espouses rewarding criminals with citizenship.  It is just not in me.  I will be voting for Trump and I so hope his deportation promise is not just an empty promise. 

Europe's mess

I really feel sorry for the Europeans.  Their countries will never be the same.  They are facing what we have faced for over 50 years, but they are getting it all at once.  And these people aren't coming to assimilate.  They are coming to demand their rights, to be supported, to be given a home, free food, free money to spend.  And to keep their way and their nationality.  The don't want to be Germans or Swedes.  They have no intention of becoming citizens of these countries they are invading.  I would love to see a reporter interviewing these "poor, downtrodden people"  who come with the latest technology and demands what they would do if the situation was reversed.  I think we already know the answer to that in the way they treat Israel.  If Christians tried invading their countries in this manner, they would be slaughtered.  I personally think they should send them all back. 

World View

I have been watching the mess unfold in Europe with disbelief.  All these people just streaming into Europe and they don't care whether they are wanted or not.  They don't care that they are destroying those countries.  They are all about themselves.  One report stated that one bunch that had hauled an 8 month old child all over Europe after hauling her across the channel to Greece took her to a hospital.  The medical staff could not save her and she died.  Then her family attacked the medical staff with knives because they had failed to save the little girl.  The doctor had to have surgery and two nurses are in ICU and no one was charged.  They were just allowed to get away with it.  That is the part that astonishes me.  The people of these European countries are just allowing these thugs to take over.  They will be sorry.  They come and demand that they be given houses, clothing, food and money.  How arrogant.  And Europeans are catering to them. Reminds me of here.  Our politicians are kissing the asses of the illegals and screwing the very taxpayer that is forced to put up the money to support them and they come and demand their rights.  They have no rights.  They are criminals. 

Politicians

I live near Texas A&M.  The city is so conscious on how neat we look.  And yet they have allowed the older apartment complexes in the center of the city to go HUD.  Now we have all kinds of trash here.  We had a riot at the street mall the other night.  A first for this little city.  And we have car breakins nightly.  Crime is skyrocketing.  When the opposing team's fans come to town, they usually come with not a few RV's.  They park those wherever they can.  Wal Mart parking lot is full.  We have a major game this weekend.  The city is going to look like the fools they are when those RV's are vandelized while the owners are at the game.  It may not happen this time but it will happen.  And the city politicians will have no one to blame but themselves. 

Migrant mess

I can tell Europe that they are going to regret allowing all those so called refugees into their countries.  Hungary is the only one who is doing it right.  They will be doing dual language in elementary school and furnishing welfare for eternity for them.  They will trash the countries.  And they will always be demanding more and more.  Take it from the Americans.  We are being stolen blind by all the illegals in this country along with the H1-B visa holders.  The companies lie and state they can't find qualified citizens.  Well, no they can't for what they want to pay.  So they screw over the citizens.  And our schools are overrun with illegals.  We are forced to educate them in their own language so there is no money for our kids and our kids are shoved aside for the illegals.  They come here and immediately sign up for food stamps, wic, tanf, housing and anything else they can get.  I have been in line in the grocery store and watched them load up the check out counter with over $400 in food and have a kid along to interpret and pay with a Lonestar card.  That is food stamps.  They clog the ER's and it takes hours to get in even when you have an emergency.  My daughter took a friend of hers to the ER with vomiting and high fever.  She sat in the waiting room for 4 hours until my daughter threw a fit and demanded she be seen.  She had appendicitis and when they operated, here appendix were ready to burst.  She would have severe complications if it had burst. 
They come here to have their babies because of instant citizenship for their kids.  After that kid is born, they just keep dropping them.  They can draw down at least $5000 if they have 6 -7 kids and most will have 10 or more.  And we have to pay for all that.  We are not asked if we want to pay for them.  We are forced to do so.  We are not asked if we mind if our kids do not get educated and our money goes to educating them.  We are forced to do so.  We have thousands of school children in this country who are homeless, thousands that go to be hungry every night and thousands in the system with no hope of ever having a chance in life.  As soon as those in the system turn 18, they are put our with no money, no place to live, nothing.  And we can't even help them because there is no money for this.  This country is going to hell and the businesses and politicians are helping it along.  Obama is the worst.  He does not have to deal with these illegals on a daily basis.  His kids will never have to fight for a place and money to go to college.  And he doesn't care what he is doing to the taxpayer for it is the middle class taxpayer that is footing the bill for this.  Obama should have to move every one of them into the White House with him and his family and then take them with him when he leaves Washington.  And every one of you supporting them staying here is either a business hiring them or a fool who does not deal with them daily.  Come to Texas and spend some time.  Try to find a job.  They all go to illegals and I can name several contractors right here near me that only hire illegals.  And pay them under the table.  They are also working at Texas A&M University.  And I would imagine at all the state schools. 

So called refugees

I have been watching the mass exodus out of the Middle East.  Those people are not refugees.  They are looking to get to a country with better benefits for them.  And they do not intend to leave their practices behind and become citizens of whatever country they land in.  As was stated on one of the news websites, they will not stay in Hungary because they don't see Hungary as economically wealthy and they want to be in a country that is wealthy.  Why?  Because there will be more benefits for them.  They aren't looking to work to better themselves.  They are looking for a government to do it for them.  Some Syrian families that relocated to Uruguay are now protesting outside the parliment demanding the government grant them exit papers back to Syria.  And that they transport them to the airport.

I feel that most of those flooding into Europe are going to turn out to be terrorists. At the very least, the countries will lose their way of life and life will become much more dangerous for them.  Germany needs to wake up and realize what is going to happen to them.

Turned off on politics

I am trying to stay away from politics for awhile.  I could get a coronary over the mess we have.  As much as I really dislike Trump, he is the best we have.  He owes no one anything.  He will not have to pay political debts.  He did turn me off when he let Palin interview him.  Palin is about as stupid as they come.  She is the reason I voted for Obama the first time.  Do I think Trump will make a good president?  Could he be any worse? 
I had a cousin get really mad at me a couple of weeks ago because I told him Cruz was Cuban.  He informed me that Cruz was Mexican and came from a good Mexican family and that daddy Cruz had been ambassador to Canada.  When I told him, no Cruz sr was a Cuban terrorist for Castro and Ted was Cuban and American, he hung up on me.  This is an educated man and he buys into this crap.  So now you see why I say stupid is not fixable.  He is not ignorant of the facts.  He refuses to hear the facts.  So, I am tired of people and the stupidity of my fellow countrymen. 

Lost country

In over 60 years, I have never seen my country in the mess it is in.  We are overrun with illegals and no one seems to be able to grow a pair and clean house.  Obama wants to just pat them on the back and give them citizenship.  The Republicans just want us to shut up about them.  I never in my wildest dreams thought I would back Donald Trump, but damned if he is not the best we have out there.  We have a lot more qualified, but the voters are just too stupid to see it.  The majority of the voters don't give a tinkers damn about the country.  The evangelicals are only interested in pushing their form of ISIS down our throats.  The blacks are only interested in being allowed to loot, kill and create mayhem at will.  The democrats don't know what they represent.  And the independents are left with no one.  And during all this bickering and squabbling, we have the illegals stealing us blind and committing murder of our citizens.  We are now wasting money on investigating Planned Parenthood because of a bunch of bogus videos.  The world and my country in general have lost their collective minds.  The common sense train left the station and they all missed it.  We have a shameful mess.  Blacks cannot or will not obey the laws and get pissed when they are forced to do so.  Baltimore is going to hell in a handbasket because the mayor "gave them space to destroy" and they are still using that space to destroy. 
Sandra Bland.  She came to Texas looking for a confrontation.  She created one.  Then she hanged herself.  Now her family who would not go her bail are suing the officer and the county.  This happened in a town that is about 75% black and has had three black mayors.  There are no racial problems in this town. 
And yet the yankee blacks can't stand for there to be racial harmony.  They cannot stand the idea that there are places where race is not an issue.  So they come south to create issues.  And the majority of these causing the problems are, like the illegals, living on the taxpayer.  I personally think we need to get rid of all public housing.  Every one should have to pay something for their home.  No one should be allowed to sponge off the taxpayer for 4-5 generations.  Stop welfare at two kids.  And stop it altogether if the parent or parents refuse to work.  This taxpayer is tired of all the mess in this country.  Time to clean house and have accountability.  And that includes the politicians as well.

Jubilation

Trump is a blowhard.  No doubt about it, but he does know what the American people are so agitated about.  He knows that we want to clean out the illegals and reclaim our country.  Another citizen was killed in Ohio by an illegal alien yesterday.  The government does not even bother keeping them in jail.  They just let them out to do whatever they want.  And they come here and drop 10 kids all on the taxpayer dime, then we have to support them all without our consent.  Well, I have been fed up for years.  Time to clean our house.
My guess would be that Obama cut a deal with Mexico that we would keep their trash that sneaked across the border in exchange for Mexico curbing the Central Americans crossing through Mexico to our border.  Why else would he do a 360 turn on immigration?  No other reason.  He screwed us yet again.  So if I have to vote for Trump, I will do so.  I don't think he can be any worse than the last two we have been stuck with.  One got us into two wars with no out and stirred up the Middle East to the point that we may never see the end of the wars there.  The other saved his racism till the last year of his final term.  Then he unleashed it.  And he has the gall to say that if he could run again, he would be elected again.  Nope.  He was only elected the first time because McCain trotted out Palin on us and on the second time, the Republicans trotted out Romney.  Neither Bush, McCain nor Romney has a clue about the Middle class and the daily struggles we face nor do they care.  75% of all the new jobs created have gone to illegals and now they are going to college on the taxpayer dime and taking teaching jobs along with other jobs.  Our politicians have truly sold the country to the highest bidder.  Eisnehower and JFK must be rolling ;in their graves.

Anger

I have tried to stay away from the news.  It just makes me angry.  However, I did follow the shootings in Charleston.  I was shocked and disgusted at the way the rest of the damn country just walked all over those good people's corpses to grab their 15 minutes of fame.  They did not even wait for the bodies to get cold before they were descending on South Carolina to stir the pot.  And the fuss over a piece of cloth.  Really?  9 dead who were upstanding members of their community and all the so called activists and yankees were so intent on getting their 2 cents in and getting their names in the news, they just threw them away.  They did not count for anything but a catalyst to fan the flames of hatred and dissent.  Charleston was not even given a chance to take care of their own.  I have trouble finding the words to describe the disgust I feel.  Charleston, left alone, would have taken the flag down on it's own.  Charleston would have done the right thing.  But oh hell no.  Every yankee and his dog had to make their mark and they did  it by leaving footprints on the bodies of people who were so much better than any of those fools.  There was not one of those fools fit to clean the shoes of any of these nine.  And those fools will never be satisfied.  There is no money to be made in harmony among the citizens.  There is a lot of money to be made in keeping the pot stirred and the hatred brewing.  And that is what is happening. 

Stupidity of my countrymen

The killings in Charleston.  These were senseless acts by a bored, self-pitying, pos.  Nothing else.  He had been allowed to wallow in self-pity, never had to hold a job to support himself nor accept any responsibility.  So what does he do?  He goes into a building where he knows there will be no opposition, where he knows he will be safe in his stupidity and cruelty.  And he kills 9 people whom he is not fit to wipe their shoes.  What a waste. 
Then we see everyone making this about race and oh my! if that Confederate flag had not been flying, this would not have happened.  Really?  Did that flag just come down off that flag pole, put that gun in his hand, and force him to pull the trigger?  No.  He took that gun to church.  He pulled that trigger and apparently took the time to reload as he killed 9.  This is his.  Not the Confederate flag, not the South, not the so-called white commuinty, his. 
I am really tired of eveyone trying to blame everything in the South on white racism and the Confederacy.  First and foremost, racism does exist, but it exists on both sides.  Both sides have to work to eradicate it.  Second, the Confederacy had nothing to do with this. 
That flag is a sign of heritage to us.  It is honoring our dead.  It is defining a time in our history when we were slaughtered for trying to go about our business.  There are no cut and dried reasons for the Civil War.  It was legal.  There was nothing in the Constitution to prevent it.  And the South just wanted to be left alone.  If eliminating slavery was all it was about, then why not just let the South go?  That would have ended it.  And there would have been no more slave market in the North because the Confederate constitution forbade any slaves being brought into the South from anywhere.  So why not just let them go?  Several reasons: Anger.  The North did not want to lose the South and the businessmen saw a way to  make money 1) from the war and 2) from raping the South after the war.  It was about money.  Pure and simple. Money.  It would be real interesting to know the names of those businessmen in the North who were involved  in the slave trade before the war.  It would indeed.  Keep in mind that that Confederate flag never flew on a slave ship.  Did the US flag?

Texas

Texas and it's politics has a lot wrong with it, but they are now doing something that is  the right thing to do.  A few years ago, most of the towns and cities got on the kick of red light cameras.  Here where I live, they were installed without voter approval.  Well, they were snapping cars stopped at red lights and ticketing them.  A citizen started a ballot to get it on the ballot.  We got it on the ballot.  We voted them down.  We had people from the company at the polls trying to intimidate voters into voting for keeping them.  That didn't last long.  The poll workers called the cops on them.. After the vote, the company paid two citizens to file a lawsuit.  They won the lawsuit, but the city officials were smart enough to remove the cameras because we had spoken and they knew that they would face that at the polls.  So no more red light cameras for us. 

Several towns followed suit and removed the cameras.  Fast forward to now.
Our legislature is voting on a state wide ban on cameras because they violate the Constitution in that the ones receiving the tickets  in the mail cannot face their accusers.  So, even though Texas politics and politicians are so dirty that pigs would shy away from them, every once in a while they do something right.

Offerings for President

Ted Cruz was the first Republican to announce his run for the White House.  He comes from a domestic terrorist and a Communist.  Ted Cruz's father is now cloaking his communism in religion.  And he has raised Ted to believe he is the chosen one to be dictator of the United States.  He has no respect for our Constitution.  Left to him, he would use it for toilet paper.  And those birthers are now strangely silent.  Their boy was absolutely not born in the United States.  He holds citizenship in Canada, Cuba and supposedly in the United States.  I have never seen papers that prove that his mother registered his birth with the state department.  That has to be done with every child born on foreign soil if the parents want them to be US citizens.  Every military person who has served in a foreign country as a home base knows this.  So where is Ted Cruz's papers?  It has reached the point in Texas where if you are a rabid fundie and promise to suck the life out of every poor person in Texas and lie about everything, then you are very electable.  The electorate even passed over Texans to elect a yankee to Lt. Governor.  Really?  We could not find a qualified Texan.  But then again there are not that many real Texans left in Texas.  Most of our citizenry are transplants and not the best transplants.  Seems we get all the crazies.  I never thought I would see Texas come to this. 

My country has lost it's mind

I keep thinking that the adults in this country will wake up and see how very stupid they are acting.  Indiana's new law is so a slap in the face to our Constitution.  And pushing religion down the throats of everyone is sick.  I am trying to figure out what these so called christians plan on telling God when they get there.  Hey, God, I did your job for you.  I judged all these people.  Aren't you proud of me?  My Bible tells me not to judge.  It tells me to accept everyone.  But we have a faction in this country that refuses to do that.  They have taken it on themselves to be judge and jury on every one.  These are the same people who were running around smoking pot and popping LSD back in the day.  And they jumped into the sexual revolution with gusto.  Now they are trying to pretend they did not do that and trying to atone for what they did.  They weren't adults then and they aren't adults now.  The younger generation of this country needs to step up and take back their country.  My generation is destroying it for them.  Time they showed these fools who the adults really are. 

Banks

I opened a Wal Mart credit card last year because I was having some Nintendo games sent to the local store.  Worked out great.  Games came in and I picked them up.  Ok, I get my bill in January.  Every damn bit of it is in Spanish. This is Synchrony bank which used to be GE.  I got someone in the Philippines who could hardly speak Englsh.  So I hung up and emailed Wal Mart.  That was around January 10.  I have yet to get a response.  So I paid part of the bill in January.  I wanted the mess straightened out before I paid it off.  I wanted to know that my identity was not snatched.  My bill came in February.  Same thing.  So today I called again and this time I got someone in this country that speaks English. I ask, "Why is my bill in Spanish?  Do I sound like I am Mexican?"  "Well, there was probably just a glitch in the system.  We can issue you another account number if you are concerned about it."  "So how will that help me if my identity has been stolen and do you have more than one account for me.?"  "No, I only show one account. Would you like to change your number?"  Yes. So then I am sent to fraud.  Guess who answers.  Nope not a Spanish speaking broken English.  This time it was an Indian speaking broken English.  I demanded to be returned to the US.  Ok, that happened and I got someone in fraud.  I explained the situation after a verbal battle over my social security number.  Well, she would have to send me back to customer service.  I pulled the phone out of the socket and threw it across the room.  My blood pressure was probably popping 200.  I was so angry.  So, I will pay the balance on this, close it and I will not use any credit card but Discover.  Every little worm in the world has our personal information.  This is what capitalism in the US does for the customer. 

nutcases in politics

I keep trying to ignore all the nutcases in Washington.  It is really hard to do.  Now the nutjobs are trying to step back on requiring insurance companies to pay for maternity care.  First we close the Planned Parenthoods and make it impossible for poor women to even get basic health care and to make it impossible for them to get contraceptives.  And, with the cost of care of the mother and delivery of the baby running around $30,000, this will insure that no one has children except the medicaid set and the very rich.  And a large number of those in the medicaid set are illegals.  So , we will have many more non-English speaking kids to educate.  What they fail to realize is that if the working class cannot afford to reproduce, then there is no middle class kids coming of age to carry the country on their backs.  There will be no infrastructure,  There will be no schools.  There won't be much of anything.  Really great planning. 

Still trying

I am still trying to wrap my mind around my generation.  They marched, they committed crimes.  They took full advantage of the free sex, weed, LSD, later cocaine.  They broke all the rules.  You would think that they would have affected change with this attitude.  Nope.  They finished college and  joined the ranks of the establishment that they railed against.  They became the greedy ME generation.  They turned their backs on social change.  And then they got older and tried to deny their wild youth.  They got religion and set out to force it on everyone.  And not just any religion.  It had to measure up to their beliefs or it was not good enough.  I find this shameful.  If you could live the wild, depraved youth, at least have the guts to own it.  And what we have in Washington is of that depraved youth of the boomer generation.  They have no character.  They have no substance.  They are just as greedy as ever.  And our children and grandchildren will have to pay the price.  Makes me very ashamed of being of that generation. 

My Generation

I am of the 1960's and 70's.  I came of age at the height of the Vietnam War.  I watched as the rich kids marched, fought with the police, smoked weed, took LSD, and dodged the draft.  I watched the Vietnam War unfold on television.  I watched our men die.  I watched it all.  And I watched as those rich kids cursed the troops.  I watched as Jane Fonda climbed on that Viet Cong tank in Hanoi while our troops were locked in pits and tortured on a regular basis.  I watched as she returned and nothing happened to her.  She was not tried for treason.  Nothing.  I watched as our troops came home in body bags and their bodies were used to smuggle drugs out of Vietnam and into the United States.  I watched and held my breath when the draft lottery was shown in 1969.  I am assuming that this draft lottery was instituted to stop Daddy Warbucks from bribing the draft board to put someone else in front of his little darling so his little darling could roll in drugs and screw his brains out in the free sex movement. 

And then they came home.  The came home to a nation calling them baby killers and spitting on them.  I watched as they suffered PTSD.  And this is my generation. 

I watched those who cause so much trouble in the 60's and 70's enter the 80's and turn callous and greedy with no regard for the country or anything except themselves.  I watched as they put their kids in private schools because they didn't want them rubbing elbows with the riff raff.  I watched as they destroyed the Unions, offshored jobs, imported illegals to work under the table for less than they would have to pay a citizen.  And I watched them raise kids just like them.  There was a time when the elite were expected to enter the military.  It was a duty.  My generation saw no duty to anyone except themselves and their bank accounts.My generation has done nothing, nothing except destroy the country.  I see no redeeming qualities in them.  And now they are running the country.  If we survive my generation, it will take our children and grandchildren generations to recover.  The baby boomer generation has been and is still totally useless.  And I am ashamed to be a part of that generation.
