Texas A&M's jump into the SEC.

Texas A&M is now officially a member of the SEC, whatever that means.  I can tell you what it means to the taxpayers in Bryan and College Station, Texas.  It means an attempt to blackmail  those taxpayers by John Sharp.  See, Kyle Stadium is not up to SEC standards.  This was know by the powers that be at TAMU before they made the bid to join SEC.  They did anyway.  Then they put out the rumor that all the home games would be held in Reliant Stadium in Houston because, drum roll, Kyle Field does not meet the SEC standards.  Well, for those of you who do not know the area, College Station's and Bryan's economy is restaurants, hotels, and motels.  They rake in big bucks during home games.  To say nothing of the liquor stores.  Bryan's economy is not as dependent on this income as is College Station.  Well, now John Sharp, Chancellor and Perry appointee to TAMU, wants the cities to put up $38million toward the $400 or so million that it will take to renovate Kyle Field.  The taxpayers were not asked about this beforehand.  There was no vote on whether TAMU would join SEC because this is a university deal.  It does not in any way involve the taxpayers in the two cities.  And TAMU is a state funded university so our taxes are already paying for it.  This is a blatant attempt at blackmail.  This is his way of doing business.  John Sharp along with Perry and his cohorts are only concerned about lining their pockets.  They don't give a tinkers damn about the state nor the people in it.
