Democratic debates.

I did not watch the debates.  I read all the reviews though.  To me, you do not get a lot out of the showmanship that is the debates.  And I am interested in 1)past record 2) beliefs in policy 3) affiliations.  What I took away from these debates was that there were only three viable candidates in this order. 1)Biden 2) Buttigieg 3)Warren.  Of the three, I think Biden has the best chance of being selected by the voters for the office of Presidency.  Biden is tried and true.  We know all his flaws and strengths.  In my book, his biggest strength is that he scares the beJesus out of the Republicans.  In all the years they threatened impeachment of Obama, they never did it.  And one of the Republicans gave an interview in which he was asked why they had not followed through on impeachment.  His answer: Have you met Joe Biden?  He is a wild card.  There was no predicting what he would do.  And I like that.  He is also down to earth.

Buttigieg:  I like him.  He is really smart.  He is an adult.  He has walked the walk.  He was in Navy Intelligence.  He does not have tunnel vision where the party is concerned and he has empathy.  I do like him.

Warren: She has some good ideas but she has an extreme left leaning and some of the stuff she comes up with is so off the wall.  Also, claiming to be Native American when she knew she is not.  I have Native American ancestry, but that does not make me a Native American.  My family left it behind.  So no affiliation.  And I don't claim it.  She did.  And she has waffled on so many things.

These are the only three I would consider.  I cannot stand Harris.  She makes me ill.  Sanders has done nothing but be a rabble rouser and held office.  He rails against the rich even though he is one of them.  But what really frosts my cherrios is that he was head of the VA committee in congress while our troops were returning damaged and not being given the medical care they deserved.  In my book, he is responsible for every one of those troops who committed suicide.  Nope.  He does not deserve to be Commander-in-Chief.  Our troops deserve better.
