Mormons and the Constitution

I'm just reading an article about how the Mormon church does not impose their beliefs on anyone.  That they believe wholeheartedly in the Constitution.  That does not equate with them putting political clout into passing Prop. 8 in California.  That does not equate with them fighting politically to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.  That does not equate with them politically and monetarily backing the right-to-life movement.  I cannot and will not vote for someone who sees me as less than human.  I cannot and will not vote for someone who does not think that, as a woman, I should have the same rights as men.  And I cannot and will not vote for someone who would deny rights to a person because of their sexual orientation.  They preach about the persecution of the church.  That church has a really dark history and some really off the wall beliefs and not only do I want nothing to do with this cult called a church, I want nothing to do with anyone coming out of this church.  Romney wants to steer the country, but was a coward during the Vietnam war.  Romney wants the power to send my children off to war, but was too much of a coward to go himself and too much of an eletist to send his sons.  Seems that his attitude mimics the rest of the affluent country.  Let the poor and middle class fight the wars.  We'll just sit back and tell them which ones to fight.  Just saying his name makes for a bitter taste in my mouth.
