State of Politics.
I have tried to take a break from the circus that is our political system. Seems like Romney is going to garner the Republican nomination. I won't vote for him. He will put corporations and big business before the citizens and we don't need that. It will do nothing to fix our economy. All his policies will do is dump more responsibility on the Middle Class and I frankly do not see how the Middle Class can carry anymore fiscal responsibility. Romney paid 14% on his $1.4 million. I paid 13% on my $45,000. Am I complaining about paying taxes? No. And if I earned what Romney earned, I would expect to pay a larger percentage than a person in the middle class. Romney did not make that money in a vacuum. He did so in this country using our laws. And he wants to be Commander-in-Chief when he hid behind his religion during the Vietnam war. Wonder who the poor white or black man was that took is place and probably died? I lost a good friend in Vietnam. He graduated from high school, got married, got drafted, went to Vietnam and within a matter of weeks, he was dead. He stepped on a land mine. And where was Mitt while my friend was dying? On a mission----drum roll please---in France. And his church was asking for wholesale deferments. So, sorry I can't muster any respect for Mitt Romney. And I damn sure will not vote for him.
