The return of and ISIS member

I have just read that the state department is denying reentry to the United States for the young woman who left the US 4 years ago to join ISIS.  She is trapped in a refugee camp and wants to return to the US.  According to the state department, her father was a diplomat when she was born and is therefore not a citizen.  According to the UN, he was a diplomat from Yemen from October 15, 1990 through September 1, 1994, 37 days before she was born.  How did a diplomat who has no standing in the United States suddenly leave his diplomatic post, remain in the US and gain standing in the US?  When diplomats leave their posts, they are returned to their home country.  So why was he allowed to stay here?  The state department has the answers and is not giving them out.  They had to have had proof that she is not a citizen of the US in order to refuse her re-entry.  We cannot deny our own citizens re-entry into the country.  If she were a citizen, she would have been returned and tried for treason.  Will be interesting to know the details.

Her father, Ahmed Ali Murthana, runs some sort of company or something.  He is big into twitter and all his tweets are in Arabic.  Her birth certificate was issued 2 months after her birth.  So if she was born at home, which she had to be, they chose the birthday.  If born in a US hospital, the birth certificate is issued before the child leaves the hospital.  As I said, none of this makes sense.

On another not, Kamala Harris's father has called her a travesty and wants nothing to do with her.  Interesting.
