Ukraine

I see where McCain is beating the war drums for getting involved in the internal mess in Ukraine.  No.No.No. Absolutely not.  Ukraine is not serious about being an independent county and has never been.  When Hitler invaded, they jumped on that bandwagon because he was going to be so much better than Stalin.  Well, when he wasn't, then they looked to Russia to save them from Hitler.  They have no military.  They have been depending on Russia to protect them.  Now they want the west to step in and save them from Russia.  They have always tried to play both sides and are still doing it.  We might get involved tomorrow and by Tuesday, they would be hating us and telling us to leave.  Just look at Afghanistan.  All that money wasted and all those lives lost and for what?  For a corrupt, backwards country that wants to stay corrupt and backward.  We need to stop meddling.  This is none of our business.  If Europe want to intervene, then so be it.  Hopefully, they will do a better job in Ukraine than they did in Bosnia.  These are tribal spats and we just need to let them have their spats.  We are trying to recoup from a decade of useless wars that the Republicans got us in because Bush wanted to be a war president.  We can't even take care of our own people.  Why would we get involved a world away?  If McCain really wants war, Venezuela is not half  a world away and is in the midst of a fierce fight now.  Do we not care if communism spreads to South America?  Do we not care that Cuba is extending it's reach?  Obviously not.  The lessons from WW11 have been forgotten.  We will repeat them and this will be the most horrendous war that the world has ever witnessed.  Pick up a copy of "On theBeach."  It will scare the beJesus out of you.  War is never the answer.  No one wins in a war.  McCain should know that.
