American Circus

Ok, I admit to not reading much news the last couple of days.  Every once in awhile I need a break from the circus and the stupidity of the candidates.  Our method of electing a President is, to say the least, entertaining.  However, it is not meant to be entertaining.  It is meant to select the best man or woman for the job.  What we are getting on the Republican side is those with the most money telling us how well they can run our government.  They are asking for the checkbook with no controls.  We had that with Bush and every Republican in this country just fell in lock step and gave him the treasury.  And he looted it.  We cannot afford to have that happen again.  Romney does not have a clue.  He has no idea how the lower half lives.  For him to say we have a safety net for the poor just shows how out of touch he really is.  Every Republican in this country and many Democrats want to do away with that slim rope for the poor entirely.  They would be happy with allowing them to just die. Oh, but first they have to force them to have the babies they can't afford and since they are killing Medicaid, then those poor women and women without medical insurance will have to have the babies without medical help and if they die, oh well.  They should not have gotten themselves pregnant.  Ever wonder why we do not have universal health care?  Really wonder?  Well, health care is a big industry and a huge money maker.  We have the insurance companies, AMA, all the doctors, hospitals, drug companies and any and all connected to healthcare fighting to keep the status  as is.  Why?  Because healthcare if their big slice of cake.  Insurance companies cannot make nearly as much on homeowner's insurance or automobile insurance.  Healthcare is the cash cow for a large majority of companies and individuals in this country.  Screw the people.  They are just dollar signs.  And if you have no dollars, die.
