Do as I tell you to do.

Our politicians have taken a stance of "do as I tell you to do. The laws do not apply to me."  One of our Republican do-gooders introduced a bill in congress to make drug testing mandatory for any who apply for welfare and one even wanted to extend it to unemployment benefits, but when a Democrat attached a bill to make it mandatory for lawmakers to have to submit to drug testing, our good Republican quickly withdrew his bill.  And in Virginia, a female lawmaker introduced a bill to force ultrasound screening at the patients expense if she wanted to have an abortion.  However, when a Democrat attached a bill to make rectal exams and stress tests mandatory for men seeking treatment for erectile dysfunction, then that bill was voted down.  So what is good for women and poor people is not good for the Republicans.  I guess this shows where they stand.  Disgusting.
