New Year's Hope

I know this post will make me seem naive, but here goes.  I wish that mankind could just realize that we are all in this together and we either succeed or fail together.  We live an isolated planet and have no other home.  This is it. We need to learn to take care of our home and all who live on it.  We have no other place to go.  And we are orphans.  We have no other known relatives in the universe.  We have to depend on ourselves.  I wish all could realize this.  I wish everyone could see the big picture.  It won't happen, of course.  But I can hope.
