Rape as the new normal

I have been keeping up with the case in Ohio where the girl was drugged, carried from party to party and repeatedly raped.  No one tried to stop it.  Instead they took pictures and posted them.  I don't know why I should be shocked.  It was the football team after all.  They can do no wrong.  They are gods.  Yeah, right.  I watched the kids in my children's school with that very same attitude.  One year the coaches were so proud of their new quarterback.  He was so great and they got him from--drum roll--reform school. Football is king.  We could have decent schools if we did away with athletics in school.  And I hope the parents of these students are proud of what their darlings have done.  Were that my daughter, I would be suing the parents of those kids for all that they had and all that they would ever have.  They are responsible for those thugs until they turn 18, so lets hold the parents accountable.  Maybe then we will get real parents although I would not hold my breath.
